The Crown Point was excellent ! I would reccomend it to everyone staying in the Hampton area. It is right next to the University and the Marina is beautiful. "Pleasant stay"
The location on the water was fantastic. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the mattress was fairly comfortable ( not sure if it was some sort of foam or not but my son stayed once and had the Sleep Number mattress.) "Well worth the money"
This is the second time I have stayed in this particular hotel while visiting my daughter in Norfolk. Both times this hotel was exceptionally clean (and I am real picky about a clean room) and the bed in the main reason we stay there...it is supper padded and comfy!! Great night sleep. The man at the front desk at check in was friendly and very professional giving us all the necessary information we needed. Parking was free and easy in the garage. "Not a Good Overnight Stay"
Although the hotel overall is very nice, there was a terrible disturbance during the early morning hours of January 22 that prevented me from sleeping. "bad hotel!!!"
I have stayed at this hotel for better than 20 years. It was once a Radisson but is now a Crowne Plaza. Over the years, I have seen this facility go form great to terrible!!! The building is falling apart, the service is lousey and the staff is rude!!!

"Got it right"
I've gone with hotels.com before and was sadly disappointed. This time they got it right I stayed at a hotel in Hampton Va that I was very happy with. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The hotel was in the perfect place right on the water so my fiance was happy with that

"Ehh"
The room was incredible, the cable was shady not very clear reception for most channels. Good view of the Hampton harbor from the window. The breakfast was so-so. The one time I went to a bar, their a 3 inch long cockroach on the bar. So take it how ever you like. Good rooms for the price, but still cockroach kind of ruined it for me.

We loved staying at this Nautical hotel. The only recommendation is to bring air freshener due to the humidity. Housekeeping gave us fabreeze. I would highly recommend this hotel! We had a great stay
"Far from the beach, and in a bad neighborhood!"
If you are bringing a little one, make sure to bring a baby bathtub--there is only a shower in the room! The staff was polite, but I asked three days in a row for a mini fridge for my insulin. I was told they would check on it everyday, but finally told mini fridges were only for medical reasons (insulin?). "I would stay here again"
I found this motel on hotel.com. It was listed as the cheapest at the time, so I booked it for five days. We arived at the Crowne Plaza and were immediately impressed. The area has very nice brick sidewalks all the way along the harbor it sits on. We paid for a cheaper room, but the room we were in actually had a nice view. It overlloked the harbor […] with lots of boats. We could also see the pool and the aviation museum building from our window. The Crowne Plaza was a nice looking building and there were several other nice buildings with inteesting shapes around it. It is minutes away from several restaurants and shopping centers. We droe through the tunnel/bridge to Norfolk in minutes. There were plenty of attractions there as well. Virginia Beach is a little less than thirty minutes away, and it seems to be a popular area. We found a beach called Buckroe Beach that was only 10- 15 minutes away. This beach was well maintained. It had two jettis and two piers. One pier for fishing the other for strolling. I saw three lifeguard stations there and we rented kayaks under one of them. I recommed the Va zoo, Nauticus, a tour of the bay on a boat (one is located at the harbor behind the Crowne Plaza), and Buckroe Beach. There were plenty of other attractions around that we didn't do: Imax theater, avaition museum, Dolphin cruises, etc. This was a convenient place to stay. The staff were friendly and professional. I was there for business and the location to Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Yorktown and Williamsburg was great. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
OUR HOTEL WAS VERY NICE. iT WAS CONVENIENT TO THE CRAFT SHOW WE DID. IT WAS NICE TO WALK BACK TO THE HOTEL TO USE THE BATHROOM INSTEAD OF THE PORTAPOTTIES . THE STAFF WAS MOST ACCOMIDATING. THE BELL HOP THAT IS GOING TO HAMPTON UNIVERSITY STUDYING AUDIOLOGY WAS MOST HELPFUL. A VERY NICE POLITE FELLOW AND HE BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO BE OF SERVICE TO ME. […] HE HELPED ME GET MY CAR AND TRAILOR OUT OF THE OVERFLOW PARKING AND I APPRECIATED IT VERY MUCH. I HAD GREAT SERVICE IN THE BAR AREA BY A YOUNG MAN THAT WAS THE BAR TENDER. We used to love it there, but this time they didn't really have it all together. We had specifically requested & paid for a certain room view, but our 1st room was viewing the pool (not the harbor), was dirty, & had someone's urine in the toilet. "Great place to stay"
When looking for a place to stay close to VA beach we were very limited due to the short notice. When researching all of the possibilities and comparing price and ratings we decided to drive a little farther and give Crowne Plaza a try. It was well worth the drive! We booked a harbor view and it was beautiful. Only concern was possible traffic delays […] going thru the tunnel back to VA beach on Memorial Day weekend so we left a little early (suggested by the front desk person) and had no problems. "Great hotel at a grear location"
Crowne Plaza are generally great to stay and this was equally good, I would say above par for the price paid. It is next Space and Air museum. We got lucky to be staying at 9th floor and the view of the Hampton bay was beyond explaination. It was wow!. Cleaniness, confort, restrarant facitlites were all excellent.
I was a guest at the hotel over a weekend and transferred to a handicapp accessible room because my mom was joing me. I called to the front desk to ask if the toilet was higher. I was told yes. When I checked in the room the toilet seat was at the same level as my previous room. You could not fit a wheel chair in the bathroom shower. The entire hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we had great view of the harbor. We enjoyed cocktails at the lounge and good food at the restaurant.

"Crowne Plaza In Hampton, VA"
The view was great and the sleep number bed was comfortable once we figured out how to use it! Our only complaints were that the TV reception was poor and housekeeping was extremely noisy in the hallway at 6 a.m.
Very convenient location to Hampton University and downtown Hampton. The hotel staff provided excellent customer service. The room was very well appointed and the king bed was very comfortable.

Although the Crowne Plaza wasn't quite as nice as I expected, it was very convenient to downtown historic Hampton's restaurants (within walking distance). "very pleased"
we didn't arrive until late in the night and then we left fairly early in the morning so we didn't have time to experience much. We were there to have a place to sleep, and mission accomplished. The bed was very comfortable as well as the multiple pillows. I got a better night's sleep here than I do in my own bed. The only thing disappointing was the […] noise outside- there were 4 wedding that had taken place that night and the after-party kept going until about 1:00 am. The Crowne Plaza is a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. My stay was great until an unexpected guest dropped in. I can't imagine this is a regular occurrence but I had a huge bug in my room. I notified the front desk and they assured me it was taken care of, however the rest of my stay was unsettling.

"Crown Plaza Hampton Marina - lower expectations"
The metal bed frames extend beyond the mattresses and my daughter cut her leg on the bed frame. We notified the front desk. We showed them the cut and asked for bandage. There was no effort by the management to fix or resolve the issue. The pay TV service was not working. The elevators were very stuffy.

"Modern room, great service, excellent view"
The staff at this location was courteous and friendly. The room was immaculate and modern. The size was larger than expected, especially for that low price and we had an amazing view of the marina. Very close to Hampton University and downtown Hampton plus it is right on the water, so the location is perfect. I would recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel and if priced below the high quaility hotels, makes for a great stay. Great setup of buisness travel. I would stay here again when traveling to the area.

I stayed here for three nights. The hotel was very clean and the staff were professional and acted promptly to all of my needs. The room was always cleaned on time and the stay was exceptionally quiet. My only complaint (which is not too big of a deal) is that the parking garage is seperate from the hotel. You have to leave the hotel, walk next door to the parking area. Not too much of a hassle.
