"Visiting Duke University"
Overall we were quite satisfied with the size of the room, 2 queen size beds and price. However, the air condition is very loud and we could not turn it off since the windows cannot be opened. We mentioned this to the receptionist when we checked- out and were told that we were not the only ones to complain. "Great place to stay"
Excellent location and great staff. Team rearranged a few things so we could have adjoining rooms for kids. Perfect place to stay with visiting colleges especially Duke - only 10 minutes away. Only downside was the heat wasn't working in one of the rooms, but I didn't complain - to be fair - I didn't give them a chance to fix the problem - so I still […] gave them four stars. "Hotel felt worn-out; the construction didn't help"
They had a rather large drywall construction project going in the lobby area during my two-night stay. It was tacky, and the interior of the hotel just felt aged and worn. Could have paid half the price to stay at a budget hotel for the same interior style and quality. The room itself was comfortable enough, though--and the bed was nice. The lounge in the hotel must be an excellent place to go if you live close by. They party in the lounge, party in the lobby and party in the halls so you do not get any sleep. Very nice place but for the price, should have had security to keep the party-goers in the lounge.

This was one of the nicest hotel stays we have ever had. The service was impeccable. Everything we asked for was provided with courtesy and a smile. The shuttle service was invaluable. Not only a few employees provided this high standard of service, they all did. We will recommend this Hilton, and we hope we have reason to return again someday.
the location was right off the interstate - and vey close to where my daughter is living while a student at Duke. Plan on going back in the spring.

after a long ride from virginia, it was so nice to have a nice clean room with an awesome bed. perfect for duke parents in town for a visit.
The hotel itself was fine and the rooms were satisfactory. There was quite a bit of noise late at night and the hotel staff was not helpful with this.

"Durham Hilton - convenient to Duke University"
Recently stayed at this Hilton for my Duke reunion. The hotel staff was very attentive and the hotel shuttle was great! Nice workout room. Also lobby has a Starbucks! We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very nice hotel from the lobby to the room. Much more clean than some other hotels in the area and I would recommend staying here before any of the surrounding hotels.

Unfortunately, we stayed the weekend of 10/31/10. The room clocks were automatically set for day light saving time. The problem is that the time does not change for a week. I missed a very important meeting because the clock was set correctly but automatically changed at midnight. Huge Problem with no help or even an apology.
"Hilton Near Duke"
The front desk staff were extremely courteous and always cheerful. I arrived late at night and had to add an extra day to my reservation, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, had a nice flat screen TV and the bathroom had a large soaking tub. It was also a good deal for the money.

This hotel is well appointed and has friendly helpful employees. Food service is quite nice and the staff is very attentive. The restaurant offers a very good breakfast, with either a continental or full buffet. Everything is hot and well-prepared. We did not eat there for dinner. The hotel is close to I-85 so that it is easy to get around the area. Duke University is nearby. Very comfortable standard room and very conveniently located to Durham and Chapel Hill. One caveat: I arrived a day early and was told by the desk clerk that I would pay the same rate as the hotel.com rate for the extra day. Instead, I was charged almost double that rate for the extra day.
