We had a great stay at the Hotel Abri. It is in a convenient location, the rooms were nice and fairly well updated. I was in S.F. for a conference and Hotel Abri was 1-2 blocks away. There were several great diners/restaurants in the area. One of the plugs didn't work, but maintenance was quick to repair it. The service was great in general. There was […] also a club across the street from our room and it was incredibly loud during the night. This isn't the hotels fault, but something to consider if you want to sleep well. Parking through the hotel is expensive and the car is parked in a lot about 6 blocks away. We found an alternate garage across the street that was less and more convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. We rented a suite for 2 people. The bathroom door was a see-through glass so this did not work well for a business trip for 2 people. I'm glad that you enjoyed the staff; I have an amazing team and they really love making an impact on our guests' experience of San Francisco. I'm so sorry that the Subway baking bread smell bothered you! I guess it is a love or hate thing. The Oasis Suite that you had does have the Jack & Jill bathroom that is nice because it can be entered from either the bedroom or living room, but I totally understand that the frosted glass doors are not as suitable for a business trip when sharing. We do have some Urban Suites, which are slightly smaller, but still have the separate living room with door that closes, that have baths with solid doors and are away from the wafting of the Subway baking ovens. We also normally have great water pressure so I apologize that there was an issue with your valve or showerhead and will have that checked. Once again, I'm sorry that you had issues during your stay, and hope that you will consider giving the Abri a second chance when your travels return you to San Francisco! The best part of staying here is its proximity to public transportation; SHORT walking distance to the F Line, Cable Cars, and BART; and its close to alot of shopping and restaurants. Check in was smooth, room was clean and ready, and we didn't experience any problems with the room whatsoever. "Hotel Abri San Francisco"
The rooms are quite small and not designed well (i.e. the tv is not located in front of the bed, the closet doors and bathroom door open keep the other one from opening). Not ideal for dual occupancy at all. My expectations were not high at all for staff being peppy at 6:00 a.m, even with that being said, the lady at the front desk was far from pleasant […] and less than accommodating. "A good deal"

"Not what I expected"
The room was cramped, the bed was SO uncomfortable (still had neck and back pain two days after leaving), the surrounding area can be a little sketchy at night (which was to be expected). Ordered room service, called after an hour of not receiving it and it was clear they had never put the order in. I wish I had known better and stayed in a different […] neighborhood/hotel. Very poor shower water pressure; leaking right sink faucet handle when in use. Room with one tiny window opening on inside of building. No exercise room. "Great location and well maintained"
Stayed with a friend for 5 nights. Enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again. Close to shopping and easy to take cable car and public transit around San Francisco. Hotel was clean, front desk staff were helpful in making recommendations. Upon initial check in was given a room on the second floor, and had to request a move. This is an old building, […] and subway restaurant ventilation on the ground floor and the hotel are connected. The room smelled like baking bread and chopped onions. Very strong odder! "Great location, great renovation, and great staff!"

"Great stay at The Abri"
The hotel has a great location and urban vibe to it. The staff was great and attentive. Our TV didn't turn on and they were there within minutes to fix it., same result when I needed assistance unlocking the room safe. We walked to Dottie's for an AMAZING breakfast and felt a little unsafe navigating the homeless, but didn't encounter a problem. Bed […] was really comfy!!!
