NOTE TO ALL WHO FIND THIS HOTEL. DO NOT STAY HERE. THIS IS MY VISUAL OF THE PLACE: 1. first assigned room was not clean for renting. bed not spread. water running in the kitchen sink. 2. relocated to new room. the placed was worned. the sleeper bed did not have bed sheets. ceiling had layers of dirt around the fan.walking the wood floor makes noise.The […] suite on the loft has noisy stairs. unsteady hand rail. really steep . unsafe for an older person. My nephew keep falling and slipping down the steps as he did not use the hand rail. My mom use the loft as we were 5 adults the bigger room was on the first floor. On moving in we were told we were noisy. The hotel manager lives below. Moving in the room at 10pm was getting him upset. The staff did not speak to us in person they called on the phone. They were disrespectful to us. Hotel.com was helpful as we could talk to them about the problem and they interact with the desk staff. Convienently located, clean room. Front desk staff excellent.Attention to details was missing, No in room phone service the entire 4 night stay, poor internet, ironing board, no iron, coffe maker, no pot. Housekeeping by request only on weeeknds.

Price was right. Room severely needs update. Wireless Internet did not work and bugs were flying around. Furniture quite worn and dirty. Overall the place was very outdated. I truly got what I paid for.

Hotel room was run down and dirty. Room smelled like dog urine and the hotel staff had a bad attitude.

It was a room. I got what I paid for. I would stay again if I was not with my family. Furniture was junk but the room was in a good neighborhood and close to highway.

I was very unhappy with my stay and all hotel' s. Com said they could do was 15% . I don't feel that was adequate considering I had to wait 1 day for fresh towels and the next day I woke up with about 7 police cars outside taking someone to jail. Lots of profanity just not a pleasant way to wake up 750 miles away from home

This was my 2nd times staying there. I enjoyed it much more than the last time. The staff was very accommodating. The suite was clean and well stocked. My children really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. My only complaint was with parking. It was a great place to stay for the price.

1st they have a policy asking for $50 even though room is paid in full...I stayed here twice before...never had to do that until this time. Security blocked the entrance to get in to one lane making it hard to leave and come back...then there were too many people there arguing being disruptive speeding through the parking lot dangerously. Then when we went to check out my fiance' was telling the receptionist some of his concerns which she insisted on arguing with him giving him a hard time trying to get the last word until he told her that's enou he wil not argue any longer. The security system was a waste apparently it wasn't keeping unwanted loitera away... in the 3 time I have been a patron this was the worst! I let them know this is my last stay...they didn't seem to care the customer service doesn't exist its beyond terrible! I wouldn't recommed prices are great but not worth it! We were in a very nice suite with a kitchenette. But it did not have a dish, cup, glass spoon etc. Nothing. I asked if we could have some cups for the bathroom. They never came. This place is run-down and poorly maintained. I had loose floor tiles in the kitchen and loose carpet in vanity area. No towels the first night. Broken office chair on porch area. Loud party in adjacent room. Dirty couch with stains. Walls were excessively dirty. Would expect much more from the Wyndham. Was not satisfied at all.

Hawthrone is a downgrade from the residence inn, however they have kept a lot of the amenties and the staff is pleasant.

Hotel needs some updating. Room had a musty smell. Otherwise, was convenient, staff was pleasant, and amenities were up to par.

I'm not the type for writing bad reviews but after staying here I have too. First the property is unkept and it looks like people park on the grass and this before I got to my crappy room. The first room looked like a short stay room or low low grade motel. I really wish that I would've stayed some where else. But I'm not done. My second room looked […] the same but this one had a old smoke smell in it. Light switches didn't work room was dark dirty rags hanging in the bathroom, sheets looked yellowish. My stay at this hotel was less than satisfactory, the concierge was notified 2x that housekeeping was not cleaning our room...we even ran out of toilet paper & was not resupplied with towels. I've NEVER experienced that at even a low budget motel. The second time mgmt was told about the lack of housekeeping, the response was "this is not a full service […] hotel". I will say that it was just this location. I stayed at another hotel in Greenville, SC with this chain & had an excellent experience & stay. the room was cleaned daily, fresh towels & tp stocked. So if a place says they have a kitchen shouldn't they have, oh I don't know something to cook with?!? I had to call the front desk to get a skillet to cook with, if took them 30 minutes to hunt one down. And no lid for the thing after all that. Totally useless as a whole. The bathtub looked horrible, I had to.clean it myself. The couch had all types of stains and spots on it. There were no forks in the room. I left some things in the room and I called and left a message with housekeeping on,Monday and I have yet to hear anything back!

Have used this hotel numerous times... I come here to relax and just get away once or twice a year. I have always been satisfied with the service of this hotel and for the price along with service provided it cannot be beat. My only concern with this recent visit is the comfort of the couch.

The hotel is convienently located near a freeway. I really liked the fact that the rooms were not all in one building...so there are less directly connected neighbors. The layout of the room was cool and it was so roomy. However, there are some things about the hotel that need to be updated...there was this chair in the den/living room area that was […] stained badly...it was disgusting. The tv was the old tube, but I could deal with that. I also did not the really care for the fact that I had to put down a deposit for them to hold...why? I stayed at this hotel for a month, so I had enough experience where I can justifiably recommend that no one should ever stay at this hotel. Upon first entering my room I noticed that it looked nothing like the pictures online. It is much dirtier, older and furniture in worse shape. The couch was dilapidated and had many questionable white stains on […] it. I thought I could make due for the month, just never sit on the couch. If you stay during the weekend, don't plan on it being quiet. Every Friday and Saturday night there would be many shady young people making a lot of noise until 2 or sometimes 3am. One night there was a fight outside my building and I was very close to calling the police. Since I was staying for an extended period, I did not want maid service every day. I would leave the "Do not disturb" sign on my door, but it didn't matter -- they would come in anyways. It was weird, when they did, they just replaced my towels, more often than not leaving me one towel short, and they didn't even clean. Then the next day, with the do not disturb sign still up, the missing towel would reappear indicating another incident of unwelcome entry by the cleaning staff. I felt that my privacy was completely violated. the room had the bare minimum in terms of kitchen utensils. Only 2 pots and no pans. Only got one packet of dish soap for the dish washer which was never replaced the whole month. I saw rats, large ones, on more than one occasion. Don't really need to elaborate on that. The "fitness center" on site is worthless. It consists of a broken treadmill, an elliptical, and a bike all crammed into what feels like a storage closet. Does not look anything like pictures online. The "hot breakfast" in the morning was disgusting. Only had overcooked sausage patties, overcooked previously frozen country potatoes for which they didn't even have ketchup, and stale bagels and danishes. Basically a bare bones one bedroom apartment. Private and comfortable. Staff is professional. Main thence leaves something to be desired. I'd stay again.

There several nights, twice the towels and bathmats were taken and not replaced. There were broken doors, holes in the walls, and outlets that did not work. Dirt that will never come off due to age and wear seemed everywhere (carpet, tub, sinks, walls). It was very, very seedy and fit the stereotype of "cheap, old and worn hotel". The bed and pillows […] were, however, clean and very good. The sofa's cushions were so worn that when sitting you sunk down and sat on the front frame. The location is great. The full breakfast daily is an added plus. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite and I loved the design. However, the furnishings, appliances and the bathrooms need to be upgraded. . Even so I would stay here again and recommend it to others. I have stayed at a Hawthorne Suites in Tulsa, Ok...so I was impressed, but this one is just all right. Nothing spectacular....Comfortable.

Had I not been writing this from an iPad this negetive review would've been MUCH longer. But for now I'll say those pictures were not real. No flat screens, rooms have a nasty smell, stained carpet, and that was just the second room after I complained about the first one. Disgusting! Hotels.com should be ashamed for having Hawthorn as an option.

1st impressions I waited too long to receive a greeting from the desk respresentaives. The two ladies discussed a party over the weekend vs. asking me questions like are you familiar to the area, places to eat nearby etc. I felt like I was interupting their conversation instead of checking in. The room was decent, you can tell it was older and minimal […] updates were done like a flat screen tv mixed with older decorations, faucets, cabinets in kitchen to make the room look more modern. I requested a late check out from 11 to 12 noon. Received a phone call reminding me check out was at 11. I then said "O, I called and requested a later check out earlier this morning." I was then questioned who approved it with a comment FROM THE DESK that I still sounded like I was in the bed at 10:30 and noon was the latest that's it. Then housekeeping came at 11 and I once again informed her of the request for late check out. She left upset that I was staying over a hour. Ready to pack and leave I requested a washcloth I ran out of towels just to take a quick shower at 11:15/11:20 b4 work. The front desk staff said no & would not provide one while stating twice "housekeeping is coming around." Meaning we have to wait for towel. By 11:30am I was so ready to leave I used my bar of soap and a pack of disposable wipes in the shower. I'm disappointed, I paid the rate, left the room in good condition, clean as I found it & nothing missing and felt like I was treated with little respect for my time and talked to unprofessionally several times by 2-3 different employees. The only thing that I would suggest is to get a new sofa bed. That one is a little old.

If you are looking for a room that can serve as a small apartment , then this is the place. They have a nice size kitchen that came equipped with dishes, silverware, and pots/pan. Full sized fridge and an electric stove so that you dont have to eat fast food unless you choose to. The bathroom vanity area was great. Huge mirror with alot of lightenting. […] However the exhaust in the bathroom is very loud and the tub was filthy. The bed was terrible. I could feel the spring everytime I moved. The linen wasn't the cleanest either. The flat screen you see in the photo section was not what we had in our room but they had an adequate amount of channels to surf. I was very pleased with the overnight stay at Hawtorn. I wanted to stay another night, but the rooms were all booked. The next time I stay, I will book the room for two nights as oppose to one night.

This hotel was horrible, it started with the staff, very unprofessional took forever to get our room keys because she was irate with another customer on the phone. The room was not clean and had an odor but we were tired and did not want to deal with the staff so we stayed anyway. There was NO meat for breakfast which started at 6:30a. When we came at 7:30a until 8:00am there was none. I came back at 8:30a still none. This would have been great if all the guest were Vegans or Vegetarians, which we were not. First of all, when I first entered the room, my friend and I were greeted by a terrible odor in the room. The room had a stale smell to it. The friend that I had went to visit went to her house to bring me back some air freshener just so we could tolerate the smell. Later, I wanted to use the iron to iron my clothes for the next day. The iron started […] spitting out black looking water and leaking all over my shirt. I called the front desk to get a new iron sent to my room,.....but because an iron was never sent to room. Again, my friend came to the rescue and brought me an iron over. The showerhead looked so disgusting, like it was rusted out or something. I almost didnt want to take a shower,...but braved it out anyhow. The coach looked dirty and had stains all over it. I refused to sit on it. The hotel was close to the sold out hotel that sponsored my conference and the price was great, but that is about it. I booked because I thought the hotel was a wyndhum associated with Mariott, NOT. I arrived late due to my conference and frankly, I was afraid on my way to my room. It was very dark and a lot of activity. I was also fearful that my door […] might be kicked in during the night. We tried this hotel because we go to Detroit a lot and wanted the convenience of kitchen and extra space. Fireplace was not gas. You need wood. Couch was ripped and no toilet paper. Not impressed.
