This was the BEST workout facility I've ever seen in a hotel. The pool was minimalist, but swimmable (18 meters, only 3 ft deep but better than no water). The workout equipment was closer to a workout facility than a hotel gym - free weights, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, weight machines, sauna, steam room. The remainder of the hotel was standard […] and good. Although, to me, nothing is better than a REAL cup of complementary coffee in the morning from the lobby - THAT was missing...only small coffee maker in the room and $2 cups of coffee next door. We had a wonderful experience at the westin in Pittsburgh. The front desk was extremely helpful and fruendly. The room was a very nice size and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was kept cleaned. We were there over New Year's Eve so they were quite busy but I didn't feel at all lost in the shuffle. "Nice hotel"
Location was ideal for the purpose of our visit since it was adjacent to the convention center. Bed was heavenly. Had by far the finest fitness facilities and pool area. The major drawback was that we had no hot water when we wanted to shower at night. When calling to the front desk we were told just to let it run for 5 minutes. We ran it for 20 minutes […] yet still not hot. Called back to front desk and was told it would be a while longer before it would be fixed. No offer to compensate for the inconvenience.
