"Not worth the money we paid"
The beds were comfortable. But the door knob was broken every time we tried to leave it fell off. There was hair on the towels. We had put on our reservation that we would have 4 adults and 3 children but had to call down for more towels. We paid more for a free breakfast both mornings and only received 2 adult passes and we had to track those down. […] Then the occupants who checked in Saturday night next to our room were up banging the walls jumping on the beds yelling and screaming. "restful weekend"
I acutally booked this for my son and daughter-in-law's anniversary. They loved the location because they went to the movies, ate at Maggiano's, and saw a play in the theatre district. "Convenient location"
The registration desk provided quick check-in and check-out. The generous sized room was quiet as well as comfortable. The bathroom sink water drained only after a long period of time and the toilet did not flush. Several calls to the front desk about the situation apparently had no significance. The shower temperature was only good on the first day. […] After that, the shower only produced cool/cold water. With a "Do not disturb" sign until noon on day 2 of our visit, we returned from our activities to find no one had serviced our room - a call to the front desk brought clean towels to our room. The breakfast area was well-attended and the food choices plentiful. Some hotel staff are definitely working hard to provide guests with a pleasant stay. "Should have paid more & gone to another hotel"
1. The hotel is undergoing construction so it does not make it for a very inviting atmosphere when you walk-in. 2. The person at the front desk was having a problem with the computer system when we checked in, and paid no attention to me nor at my questions - he has rude. 3. The carpet in my room has dirty with dark brown spots when we walked in. We […] later found out this hotel allows pets, so this may be part of the reason why. 4. The wallpaper was a little out of date is about the only negative I can come up with. The windows actually open to a balcony which was nice (the weather was beautiful in March). Stunningly awful experience. I stay at a lot of DoubleTrees and this was the worst experience by far. At least one elevator was out, they forgot to make up my room (leaving me with no fresh towels), stuck me in a room next to the elevators (which was really noisy with people waiting long periods for elevators) that had only one tiny window (rendering […] it dark all day). They also got my departure date wrong so my key stopped working prematurely. Oh, and they charged $17/day to park in their lot which is in the middle of suburbia. "A/c and bed pillows"
The a/c in the room did not work. Maintenance came to try and fix but was unable to make a difference. They did bring me a fan. They told me they were in the process of replacing all the units. There were 6 pillows on the bed all were feather pillows. With that many pillows there should be atleast 2 foam pillows. I had to call housekeeping to bring […] me some. AC did not keep room comfortable. Poor workmanship trying to repair sheetrock damage around AC vents. Hot water valve in bathroom loose on countertop. "Not What I Expected"
This just wasn't what I expected from a Doubletree Hotel. If Im going to pay their prices then I want something more than powdered eggs when I order breakfast and if I am getting powdered eggs and ordering breakfast for 2, I should have to pay almost $60. Our breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes, bacon, toast and pancakes with OJ to drink. I will never […] stay there again nor recommend that location to my friends. We Appriciated the experience staying there at the hotel. There was a odd smell on the floor that we were on but the hotel staff came and tried to fix the issue rappidly. Our room was comfortable, but somewhat dated. We had engineering come up twice...once they said they had fixed the light in the bathroom that was out and once to actually change the lightbulb. No hot water the second night. Said that it would be fixed by the morning. It wasn't. Tried to get a drink at the bar after a night out. It closed at 10:00. "High hopes but let down"
When we walked in, the receptionist was nice and handed us the warm chocolate chip cookies. But then the problems began. First, we were charged us for parking, even though we had proof that our package included parking (this was only fixed at checkout). Then the heat wasn't working in our room. The toilet dripped constantly. The iron kept dripping water […] all over my husband's shirt as he ironed. We asked to move rooms and that was easy enough. The second room was much bigger with a nicer view, but the iron still dripped, the shower was much grosser (older tiles with stains all on the grout) and the refrigerator in the kitchen opened the wrong way so you had to shimmy past the door and suck in your stomach to actually stand in front of the open refrigerator. Lastly, we were given tickets for the breakfast buffet included in our package deal, but it did not cover the last morning we were there. Fortunately we didn't need to eat that last morning as we changed our flight and left very early that morning, but we just were not impressed at all. My parents stayed in the same hotel and had a much better experience, but our opinion of the Doubletree definitely went downhill after this experience. Great hotel with some issues I was very dissappointed I was charged for parking. I have stayed at many hotels and this was the first time I had every been charged for parking. The bathroom shower had mold and there was strong food ordor in the entire hotel.Prawdziwa opinia gościa Hotels.com
