All the hotel rates in Arlington, Texas are much higher during special event at the Cowboys Stadium because of the higher demand. We work hard at making sure we are competitive with similarly located hotel. We recommend booking early if you can to get best rate. We are delighted that guest was able to enjoy the convenience of the hotel location and she found the short walk to venue to be fabulous. In the immediate vicinity around Cowboys Stadium, all businesses have to manage their parking lots during Cowboys home games or Special Events at the Cowboys Stadium. As parking is limited at the Cowboys Stadium, the parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the Cowboys Stadium are used by all the visitors. Unmanaged parking lots are quickly filled by visitors seeking to not pay for parking and in our case that would not be good as this would cause our guests to be unable to park here. Because of the extra costs associated with managing the parking lots - such as insurance, maintenance, added property taxes, annual City license fees and labor costs, all businesses in the immediate vicinity around Cowboys Stadium have to charge for the use of the parking during events - their charges are commensurate with what the Cowboys Stadium charges for their parking. Parking fee though an extra cost is not unusual. Hotels next to Houston Convention Center and Toyota Center (a Sports Venue/Stadium and Concert Venue) charge for parking. Hotel next to Arlington Convention Center also charges for parking. And most, if not all, Hotels on San Antonio's Riverwalk also charge for parking. In fact, there are other examples where Hotels located in close vicinity to venues or attractions that draw lots of visitors charge for parking. Visitors who like to be next to the venue or attraction usually do not mind paying for the convenience. Others on tighter budget do not mind staying further away and having to spend extra time on the road and deal with the traffic congestion. We should point out that those visitors who chose to drive in to the attractions will also end up having to pay for parking as well and sometimes they may be unlucky and find no parking spaces at all. We are disappointed in his experience and for not having the opportunity to address any of his concerns while he was at the hotel during his 3 nights stay. Our window film contractor is in process of replacing our solar tinted windows and our general contractor is in the middle of repairing out canopy which was partly damaged by another guest driving an oversized moving truck. While 5 year old TV in his room is a non-flat screen TV, many other rooms have it and we are in process of replacing all the remaining TV this year. No, his TV is not 30 years old as TV do not remain working for this long - the average life is typically 7 years. The TV remote was replaced in his room. We recently installed new pillowtop beds, bedframes, carpet, padding, bedthrows, bed skirts, and drapes. Our Stadium View rooms have new queen beds, new decors, new lighting packages and new furnitures. We recommend our stadium view room for guest who want more. We hope he will give us another try as we are constantly improving our hotel and services.

We are a little disappointed he did not notice that his bed was brand new. Nor did he notice that the bedthrow, drape or the carpet was new in his room. Unless, he was able to look in the elevator mechanical, he would not seen the brand new elevator submerged motor along with state of art electronic controller, and state of art safeties. And unless he looked under or above the elevator, he would not have seen all new wiring, elevator jack, door operator, and all door hardwares, and various electronic sensors. What he saw in the elevator was new operating panel, buttons, lanterns, and hallway call buttons. The elevator also recently received a complete modernization. We are glad he was able to observe we are right across from Cowboys Stadium. Our hotel is quite safe and is located in one of the busiest and newest location in Arlington. We accommodate many female guests traveling alone, families, private, church, sporting and school groups. We hope he will give us another try as we are constantly improving our hotel and service

Our hotel charges for parking fee during Cowboys Stadium events as mentioned on our Brand website and on most all third party websites. Our all rooms have new high quality pillowtop beds, bedframes, bed skirts, bed throws, drapes, carpeting, and carpet paddings. For more selective guests, our rooms with Stadium View have new furnishings, lighting and artwork packages. Please contact front desk and inform them of any concerns and they will work hard at addressing all your concerns. The iron and ironing boards are available free of charge upon request. Fridge and/or microwave is available with extra charge. The hotel is located right across the Cowboys Stadium at one of the busiest area in town and is patrolled regularly by police and security during events. The entire hotel is monitored 24/7 by CCTV and is quite safe. We are glad this guest liked our location and cleanliness. We are constantly improving and we hope this guest will give us another try.

On our websites, it is well displayed that there is "free parking except during Cowboys Games or special event at Cowboys Stadium when parking fee will be charged." We apologize that this guest appear to have missed the notice. All the businesses in the immediate vicinity of the Cowboys Stadium charges for parking. We do have a parking package which would include one event parking pass if you stay at least two consecutive nights around the event. All our walls are insulated cinder block type of construction. We do not have any records in December 2012 of guest having reported the temperature and hot water issue during the stay; otherwise, the staff would have worked hard to make guest comfortable and address all issues while the guest was still at the hotel. Nevertheless, we have checked all rooms for temperature and hot water issue and made repairs, if needed.

It appears that he stayed in a room with one bed which is smaller than our rooms with two double beds or two queen beds. All the room carpeting and padding are new. There is free WIFI and sometimes some guest would have trouble connecting to it. All they would have to do is to bring their laptop to the front office and the staff will try to help. The room's WIFI requires a passcode to join. The average temperature in December in Arlington, TX was approx 40's F with lows of approx 20's F. We have installed new green HVAC this summer and we have also checked all room and make all necessary repair, if needed, for good measure. We have reported what this guest overheard to our front office staff and though we do not know what the entire conversation or circumstance was, we have taken steps to correct it.

Please contact our staff when more condiments or anything else are needed and they will be happy to provide them. All our beds are new and are pillowtop beds. We did not have any record of any guest reporting a non-functioning alarm clock but we have check the alarm clocks in all our rooms and made replacement as needed. Sometimes, the housekeeper might use an Air Wick product with its many lines of collection such as harmony with cherry blossom. Please inform the desk clerk if you are uncomfortable with anything in the room and they will work very hard to make your stay comfortable.

These rooms have Stadium view and they do cost more but you do get more. The Hotel is walking distance to Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and within approx 1 mile to Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor water park, Arlington Convention Center, and UTA.

The Hotel has done extensive updating in the guest comfort areas. These areas are less visible but have the most impact on the comfort of our guests. During the last two years, we have replaced all the beds and bed frames with high pillowtop beds and special metal frames that offers extra support. For the comfort of our guest, we also replaced all the carpets and carpet pads, drapes, bed skirts, and bed throws. For the extra sizzling Texas summer weather, we have nearly doubled our cooling capacity by supplementing our air conditioning equipment with state of the art and environmental friendly air conditioning equipment. For the safety of our guests, we have also modernized our elevator equipment and installed all new elevator controller,safeties, pump, and wiring. And our updating is still on-going.

However, we have alerted our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep cleaning any rooms that have any smoke smell. It is possible that due to limited amount of room, some smokers stayed in a room the night before and decided to smoke even though, it is prohibited to smoke in the room or in the hotel as we are a smoke free facility ever since we replaced all our beds, drapes, bed spreads, carpeting and bed skirts early this summer. We have also notified all front desk clerks of this guest comment and they are taking corrective action to not give the impression this guest received. Our front desk staff receives continual and extensive guest service training and they work hard at taking care of our guests and their needs.

Due to the mechanical nature of some items, breakdowns happen from time to time. If it should happen while you are in the unit, just contact the front desk and they will either have the problem fixed or move you to another room. This guest stayed in our room with two double beds. These rooms along with the room with one double beds have standard number of outlets. The room with two queen beds are equipped with extra outlets. We are glad that overall he has a good stay. There are times during the calendar when the price for Arlington hotels are higher due to high demand for certain special events or ballgames. If price is a concern, try to come during off peak times. To deliver a quality stay, our hotel has recently invested large capital expenditures in the replacement of all beds, bedframes, carpet, carpet padding, drapes, bed skirts, bed throws, new furnitures (in queens & suite), lights (in queens & suite), decorations (in queens & suite), seatings (in queens & suite), and state of art HVAC equipment. We are glad this guest appreciated the fact the hotel is right across the street from Cowboys Stadium and she was able to also attend a Texas Rangers game at the Texas Rangers Ballpark within walking distance to the hotel. From time to time, it is possible that the guest from the night before may have smoked in the room even though they were aware of the hotel's -non smoking policy and our housekeeper in the rush of things was unable to remove all the smoking odor. If that is the case when you are here, please just inform our front desk and they will move you to another room. Our hotel regularly deodorize all rooms and also uses ionizer machine to remove smoke odor. Additionally, to minimize smoke odor, all our rooms' carpeting, carpet padding, drapes, and bed throws and bed skirts were all replaced recently. Our staff is happy that this guest found her room to be quite comfortable and her stay to be quite pleasant. We thank this guest for her time.

It is possible that due to limited amount of room, some smokers stayed in a room the night before and decided to smoke even though, it is prohibited to smoke in the room or in the hotel as we are a smoke free facility ever since we replaced all our beds, drapes, bed spreads, carpeting and bed skirts early this summer. We have reported this to our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep clean any rooms that have any smoke smell. Our hotel takes security very seriously and have installed 16 security cameras and motion detectors in the hotel. All common areas and parking lot are monitored by our staff 24/7. We are sorry this guest felt the room was dirty. We have reported it to our housekeeping and have rechecked and cleaned all rooms. We were unaware that this guest was uncomfortable in her room as noone had reported any issues during that period of time. Had we known she was uncomfortable, our staff would have offered to reclean the room or moved her to another room and would have offered to find her another hotel if we were unable to satisfy her. We have also reported to engineering to double check all rooms for lose toilets and to resecure them if necessary. It is unfortunate that this guest was unable to take advantage of the trolley as it is free, air conditioned, and will save on parking fee at the Ballpark. The trolley runs every hour and this guest could have taken an earlier trolley or could have even walked to the Ballpark as we are within walking distance.
