Located seconds off Rt. 95, this clean, comfortable, friendly, and well-equipped Hampton has all the ingredients for a short business stay or a stopover when traveling in Southern New England. Nothing fancy here, but the king bed was very comfortable, a microwave and refrigerator came with the room, and the buffet breakfast was plentiful. Particular stand-outs were the women working the breakfast bufett - they couldn't do enough for the guests, helping people make waffles, getting fresh coffee, etc. Although I might have wanted to spend $10 or $15 less for the overnight stay, this was the perfect place to spend a night on our way to Eastern Connecticut. We have stayed at this hotel often when visiting family in the area. The staff is friendly and the same staff members have been there for some time. The room, breakfast and location are an excellent value. The only comment I would make is that the lobby needs renovation.

I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was bountiful and tasty, The hotel was convenient to the major highway, yet set off in a quiet area. I would stay there again when I go to that part of the country.

Without question, every employee we encountered behaved like an owner trying to keep our business. Great breakfast, clean Hotel, clean room, good vibes. Thanks! Reasonable rates at a time when other hotels were taking advantage of the October storm. Very satisfied!

The employees were very friendly and professional. I would not recommend this hotel for long term stays. My stay was for 2 weeks and all the offer is a portable refrigerator, but only if 1 is available, they do not have 1 for every room. They do not offer a microwave in the rooms, therefore you have no way of heating your food unless you walk downstairs […] to the main floor and use the microwave in the breakfast area. We have stayed here before and this was our best visit yet. Everything about this hotel met or exceeded our expectations. Room was clean and comfortable. We had a minor plumbing problem that was corrected immediately. All personnel, from the front desk to the cleaning folks were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is one of the best I have encountered […] in such establishments and the two ladies in charge of the breakfast were fantastic at keeping things clean and stocked, and took the effort to help with little kindnesses, as well as greeting guests in a most friendly manner. I must commend the entire staff on the way this hotel is run. I have stayed in places all over the world and this was possibly one of the nicest stays I've had. Any request that was made was fulfilled in mere minutes and with a smile. The lady that took care of the breakfast every morning went over & above. Only negative to the experience was the size of the room; it was hard to actually walk around the bed because of furniture, desk, chairs, etc. Breakfast was very good and the bed was very comfortable.

I love Hampton Inns for 2 reasons: you always wash the comforters, and I always know what to expect when I stay there. The 4 properties I've stayed at this past year have all been similar in terms of cleanilness and attentive staff. I love not being disappointed!

"It All Depends On Why You're In Milford!"
My wife and I have attended the annual Milford Oyster Festival almost every summer for many years. In the past, we grinned and beared staying at the Milford HOJO or the Super 8, both pretty shabby, but clean enough to get in a night's sleep. Now that we're a bit older and more sophisticated :), we decided, this year, to kick our accommodations up a […] notch. Although the Hampton Inn is not in the heart of downtown Milford, it's still a very short bike ride to the Oyster Fest, so we booked it for two nights. Upon entering, we observed that the lobby and breakfast nook were clean and in good shape. Once we got to the third floor, we noticed that the place had a damp, dirty smell to it. Our cramped room was no better than the hallway. To cut to the chase, when we woke up the next morning, we noticed that all our towels were wet, although we hadn't used them. We also observed that some papers we left on the night table were very damp. In addition, we both woke up with goop in our eyes and felt like we had caught a cold overnight. This went away once we left the building, but came back the second night. Washing the pasty matter from our eyes was somewhat difficult, given that the sink in our room was only about a foot and a half off the floor. Very poor design. The worst part of the stay was when we returned to our room after breakfast (free and ample - try the make-your-own Belgian waffle) to find a housekeeper in our room with the door open. We had never seen this woman before and I am 100% sure she would not have recognized us as guests of the hotel, let alone the guests in that particular room. Anyway, we asked if we could have just ten minutes to change our clothes before we left for the festival. Without even asking to see a room key or any type of ID, she left us alone in the room and walked down the hall. "Nice Stay"
We were greeted warmly when we checked in at about 9pm. The person who checked us in also made sure to give us a room facing the parking lot instead of the highway when I indicated I was a light sleeper. The room was a decent size for a short stay and very clean. The shower was great with nice water pressure. Breakfast was good. to the interstate which I needed to access on a daily basis. On the off time the beach was less than a mile away.

First, we made reservations,cancelled and then rescheduled again without question or hassel. Upon our late arrival we were greeted quite pleasantly by the night clerk and security personnel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, well arranged with all our necessities being accessible. If you have a car and don't mind driving to anywhere you need to go- this hotel is great. Very clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly!

My overall hotel stay was pleasant. Room very clean, location very relaxing, My Check-in process was terrible. two hour wait for a mistake by the check-in clerk. Not correctly checkin my ID and try to charge my card twice under another name.

I selected this hotel based on reviews and price. The hotel was great. The room was very clean and quiet. And the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever had. Also, the breakfast was amazing.. This was a great deal.

"OK for the price"
Overall the stay was just ok. I was there for business so the time I was three was mainly for sleeping. Ac is loud. Right off i95. IF u need to stay in Milford it's good, if not shop around

Great value. Everything was clean, the front desk people were friendly, and it's literally right off I95. Only problem was that I didn't see any restaurants right off the exit, but I didn't drive around looking for them, either.

We have stayed at Hampton Inn before. The bed in this particular one was so comfortable we were disappointed when we needed to leave it. The best bed we have ever slept on in any hotel. The only complaint was the local water. It's not the hotel's fault. Everything else was just wonderful. I'll remember to book this hotel when staying in CT again.

"One night"
I requested a king size bed and doubles were only available. No discounts could be taken. As I walked to my room I saw multiple king size rooms that were currently being stripped and cleaned. The hotel is right along 95. The noise could be heard through the walls. The hotel was clean, but for a price I expected more.
