The hotel was clean,the only issue we had was the shower did not work properly,the water temp handle was broken so we had either very hot water or very cold.The staff was great.I asked for more in room coffee and housekeeping got it right away. The location was easy to get to.The restaurants nearby were great.I would stay there again.

Good place to stay outside of cleveland with good fun resturaunts around the area. Pretty friendly staff but rooms could be cleaner and beds could be larger.

"Poor plumbing"
No hot water from sink faucet on Sat evening and on Sunday morning in the shower hot water turned ice cold twice

"Cigarette smoke and lazy service"
The physical appearance of the hotel was fine. The pool area is actually really nice. Our room was clean and the cleaning staff was good throughout our 3 days. However, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke (all Ohio hotels are smoke free) and the first part of our room near the door smelled that way the whole stay. We complained to the cleaning staff […] and it never got better. Also, the desk staff was LAZY. It seemed an inconvenience for them to answer questions and they didn't seem to feel it was their problem to help you with something like a luggage cart until you presse them a little. "Very Nice"
Very nice hotel room. Stayed one night in the single king-bed room. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Luxurious setting, felt like I should have been spending much more than I did! Well done!
"Hall of Fame trip"
This hotel was great, 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland, 45 minutes from the football hall of fame in Canton. The staff there was great. If and when I go back to Cleveland, I will go back to this hotel.

"Nice Neighborhood for any trip to Cleveland area"
I would give this hotel a 4.8 out of 5 stars for the time we were there.... great service at a lower price...close to restaurants (fast foods close a little bit earlier than I am used to, but convenient, none the less) and another area of shopping (and still more restaurants) within 6 miles of the hotel. When we go back to Cleveland Clinic ( 10 miles […] / 17 minutes away ) for dad's check-ups, we'll definitely try to book our rooms at Doubletree again... Przeczytaj więcej
"one too many things wrong"
Bed caved in, tv sound went out, shower went scalding hot then freezing cold, loud partying underneath us, smoke smell wafting in one night. Nice place and staff but there were too many things that made it uncomfortable so I don't think I'd stay there again.

"Independence Hotel - easily accessible"
This hotel is very accessible. Loved the surrounding eateries and hotel breakfast. Cookies were yummy. Bed and pillows were the best I've slept on at a hotel. Price was unbeatable.

While on business in the Cleveland area I had an opportunity to spend a night at this hotel. It proved to be the best value for the dollar I have found in several years. Shula's restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast as well. I'll definitely be back.

"My Double Tree Stay"
I have stayed @ the Double Tree in different locations and have been happy with my room the service as needed if needed for any fresh linen , or appliances and anything that was asked of . The Cookies are outstanding and everyone was very nice which made me a happy customer , and last but not least the price couldn't be beat expecially with it being […] the weekend before Valentine's Day . "Clogged tub"
Bed outstanding and room was clean n comfortable. Room service doesn't have heated carts so food comes to your room cold. Tub was clogged n no offer was made to switch rooms nor did maintenance fix it. The water ran hot n cold and never was consistent. Schulas restaurant was great. All staff was very friendly. Location was great for burbs and downtown […] Cleveland all 20 mins away. Lots of restaurants around hotel from delmonicos on high end to dennys for a quick meal. Others there as well. "Great hotel for value, but someone needs to manage"
unruly guests at pool. The guests swam in their head to toe outfits, pajamas, underwear. Just nasty. And then the guests threw towels in the pool and got in wet towel fights that ended in fist fights. This happened over and over over the course of our 4 day stay, and with different guests. There unfortunately needs to be supervision of the pool area, […] at least by camera and then occasional patrols by security. Consequently the place was a disaster but husband and 4 yr old would clean because no housekeepers available. The pool was great, everything great, cookies a hit, coffee a hit, but the raucous younger guests destroyed the pool area. In addition the weekend housekeepers never showed up to clean our room. Weekday housekeepers were great and timely. There is a light pole outside with just one bolt holding it in place so the next really bad wind storm it might pop and land on a car. Excellent Hotel. Very nice, comfy room, pleasant staff, great restuarant, nice indoor pool, convenient to local restuarants. Definately will stay here again next time I'm up this way. Also, great cookies!

"Clean and pleasant"
Very friendly staff and clean. We could walk to get food which was a plus. Wish the rooms had a towel rack, fridge and microwave. Have stayed during the week before, but when we stayed on the weekend it was kinda noisy. Could hear the TV from the room next door and some of the guests at the pool were (I think) intoxicated. "Great Service, great Hotel"
Checked in on Christmas day. Had requested a fridge and it was there for us. No complaints whatsoever. Excellent service. WE requested a late checkout and that too was honored. I will go back if I am in the Cleveland area. Hats off to the the pool and gym. Well kept hotel.

Hotel is around everything. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were clean. There are alot of restaurant choices surrounding the hotel, along with a nice one inside of it.

Room was not fully clean. Upon checkin, I received a room with double beds instead of a king as I booked.

Freikin awesome! I'm a frequent business traveler. They let me do paperwork in the restaraunt for hours without disturbing me or making me feel in the way. The receptionist hands out warm fresh cookies when you check in and when you get back from the bar. Everyone was extremely friendly and catered to every need. The rooms were clean, neat, spacious, […] and practical. I have recommended that my fellow co-workers stay out there for our Cleveland jobs. 2 seconds from the highway on/off ramps, but no noise. "Doubletree - Cleveland - family christmas vacation"
I felt very much at home and treated first class. The staff at this hotel was professional and caring and helpful with every request. The food was fantastic. We loved the breakfast. "Very Nice"
This definetely was an upgrade from what I can normally afford. It probably had to do with the fact that the hotel is surrounded by office builkdings and it was just after Christmas. Only one small complaint: The TV's volume would go to 0 after sitting on a channel for a few seconds. The chocolate chip cookies at check in were a nice perk.
