Days Inn Downtown - Riverwalk Area - San Antonio

The things we did like were the very comfy bed, cold a/c and free wifi. However, the bathroom was in need of a deep cleaning. The grout on the floor was black (compared with the grout under the sink, like night and day). The corners of the floor were gunky and looked like they hadn't been touched in awhile.We also spotted black mold in two areas in […] the bathroom. HBO was promised in more than one hotel description. We couldn't find it and were told "HBO is being worked on" whatever that means, b/c the cable was working fine. Don't let name fool you. It's not a close walk to the riverwalk and who would want to in that neighborhood. This hotel is in need of a major renovation but simple cleaning skills are a must no matter how old a hotel is. On the discription it says Downtown Riverwalk area. Dont believe this. This hotel is miles from the riverwalk. I feel for this and was left roomless since I needed a riverwalk area room

We rented the room since it was reasonable pricing however was upset when we arrived and the pool was closed. That was the reason for renting it.

I can't believe I paid so much for one night here! It was worth it for the concert, but I will NEVER stay there again. The price the next night more correctly identified the room. Room smelled badly, right next to a freeway exit ramp, is only 1.5 miles from River walk but you cannot walk to it because of unsafe location. Place needs to be remodeled.

It's was so old the hotel it's not really true the pictures of the Internet smell ugly and the breakfast are so nasty sorry .. But it's true ! Check before you go .. And it's no good location :(

this hotel needs major renovation. it's close to the highway 10 so you will hear traffic noise if you are light sleeper. I stayed here for a night bc of work and moving along the area. Not for family or vacation hotel.

50 yards from freeway VERY noisy from traffic. Horrible minuscule continental breakfast. Our room was missing parts from the coffee maker, towels were stained, child size and only 3 towels in the room. 2 for the body 1 for your hands all paper thin and were not sufficient. Far from the Alamo and far from the river walk. Nothing worth seeing or any restaurants […] within walking distance. The pool is tiny and was very dirty with an oily film present. The hotel was horrible, there was hair all over the blankets and sheets. The AC didn't get cool, and the bathroom had bugs.....this was the worst hotel we EVER stayed in.

My stay was ok. The room appeared clean for the most part, however, I saw that back behind the bed's headboard, there were crumbs of some sort, the drain could have used some drano as it drained very slowly, and underneath the toilet, the cleaning was less than adequate for my taste in cleanliness. It also appeared that the carpets needed a steam cleaning. […] The front desk clerks were awesome to work with and very accommodating. The location was not near the River Walk and didn't have much but a McDonalds, Wendys, Eddies Mexican Restaurant nearby, plus a gas station. It is close to I35 which does render a lot of noise, so bring your ear plugs. The continental breakfast is nice which offers waffels, bagels, toast, cold cereal, fruit & fruit juice plus coffee. The blankets were dirty and had hair on them. The floors were dusty like they never vacuum and the shower and toilet had hair on them!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms where clean and had great air conditioning. The beds where a little hard for my taste but my grandson slept like a log. Free breakfast in the morning that was suppose to end at 9 but was still available when we checked out at 10. Overall great stay. Thanks.

1. Gave use a room in the middle of night. We dragged our suitcases up the stairs (no elevator) and the room was occupied. 2. 2nd room stunk, coffee maker was spitting out dark water (never cleaned). It took me 4x to run water thru it before it came out clean. Bolt on door completely broken off. Air conditioner faulty, Sheets not clean etc.... 3. Workers […] were rude and disrespectful 4. Owner was screaming at a worker in front of clients to NEVER refund money, once money is received. 5. Run down neighboorhood, Spray painted areas all around hotel, train constantly running, and u have to go into an "alley" to get there. 6. We were not the only ones that checked out.. Part of name of the hotel say "downtown-riverwalk", so I understood it was close to riverwalk, but it was over 1 mile of distance. Nothing touristical; the room, not clean and blankets had cigarets burns; price wasn't bad.

Wish there were refrigerators in the room...the rooms were very clean, but were showing their age. Trains run through the night. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. They allowed me to leave my car during my trip away. This was a tremendous help.

The manager at Days Inn downtown is one of the most gracious and attentive that I have ever met, confirmed also by other guests. INN was clean with modest amenities and good continental breakfast. Need to be attentive to the surroundings. Absolutely no issues. Comfort and access without excessive costs-five minutes to tourist attractions.

hotel had paper thin walls with families living in it. right next to noisy train track. beds were paper thin. ended up finding another hotel and fortified our money. shame on us for trusting the title stating it was by the river walk.

I was very unhappy with customer service they opened our door trying to give our room to someone else they did not knock. I requested more blankets before I left to go out they said they would put some in our room I returned in the evening no blankets. When I went to front desk they said oops we forgot and now we don't have any extra . They would not […] give us extra towels. They said please use them hang them and reuse. I stayed here for one night before a conference. The service was fine, but the room was filthy. I didn't want to touch the shower, and I kept my shoes on the whole time. Dowtown Riverwalk Area is false advertising. It's a mile or more away from the river. Room was infested with bed bug. Traffic and trains will keep you up all night. Wouldn't recommend staying here unless you are just absolutely desperate.
