Park Tahoe Inn - South Lake Tahoe

I'd go back just for the beds. Oh, and the hot chocolate they serve in the lobby.

The walls have ears, you can hear everthing from the rooms next to you. The bed was not very comfortable, the pillows are flat. A lot of traffic back and forth throughout the night, the room entry doors squeek alot, did not get very much sleep the 2 nights there......

Bed was comfortable. Located near all the action. But we could hear noise and conversations from the room above and to the side. Get a top floor room in a corner if you want quiet. Staff were friendly and happy.

We were disappointed that there was no snow, but the nice room with comfortable beds made our stay worthwhile. Next time we go back, this hotel will be our first choice.

Memory foam beds. Nice staff. Good location. Bathrooms need floor heaters. Standard tube TVs. Standard hotel pillows. Light weight bedspreads. No extra blankets. Watch out for $12/night "resort fee" this is not part of the Hotels.com price. I would stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. It was very nice. The check in and out people were very helpful. I had never slept on a Tempur Pedic mattress. I took some getting used to, but then it was okay. Great location right across the street from the Heavenly Gondola. Since you are paying $12 resort fee, leave your car at the hotel and walk across the street […] to take the gondola. My boyfriend and I decided to do a last minute get away to Tahoe. Very good hotel deal so we booked a room. The lady that checked us in was very sweet and our room was comfy- especially the king size tempur pedic bed. The only tiny thing we didn't like about the room was the window in the bathroom. This was my 5th time staying at this location and i've never had a bad experience. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, casino's and everything. I can tell you that out of all the places i've ever stayed, Park Tahoe has the most comfortable beds. If you're looking for a good nights rest, you've found […] the right spot. On a not so positive side, the bathroom and shower is very small. And depending on your room location, the ice machine can be quite far. Location- great, cleanliness- great. However, the $12 resort fee was never mentioned anytime before booking and for an extra $12.00 we would have chosen a nicer hotel.

This is the place to stay if you are going to South Lake with a big dog. Its right across the street from Heavenly, and a couple blocks from the casino. The rooms aren't huge, but they're clean and modern.

The rooms are much nicer since their recent renovations, but they're still not by any means the same caliber hotel as a Westin, Fairmont etc. Though, I'd probably rather stay here than any of the local casinos, because there is no smoking at the Park Tahoe Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful, we were given a kind of shoddy recommendation for dinner, […] but we probably just had different tastes than the front desk agent who helped us - she was very friendly and eager to share her local knowledge, but I'd probably rely on yelp so that you get the kind of food you're looking for. We were charged $10 for a late check out (1 pm) which is kind of unheard of. Also, the $12 a night resort fee was a little bit of a surprise. Overall, the location and remodel made it an enjoyable stay, and I would recommend it if you're trying to keep your getaway on the more affordable side. Przeczytaj więcej

I recently stayed at the park inn hotel. I was extreamly excited about their temperpedic beds....The beds themselves were awsome! However the hotel has paid for the wonderful temperpedic matresses but their room pillows are horrible! They have very cheap pillow in every room. they made my stay in the room very unenjoyable. I stayed 2 nights and on the […] first night i found myself sleeping without a pillow because it was sooo bad! my neck hurt the ENTIRE weekend. I couldnt enjoy the temperpedic bed in its entirety. I was also locked out of my room twice because my keys stopped working! I had to have them replaced once in the early morning and again after a late night of gambling with friends. I waited outside in the cold for 1 hour! Their service was ok but when i finished my stay and traveled home i took a look at my bank account and realized they had charged my credit card 1 more time for 30.00!! when i called and asked why they charged me the young lady at the desk said it was a "service fee" and i told her you already charged me for a service fee when i checked in so why are you charging me again? She stated that she would have a manager contact me back and gave her all of my contact info but to no avail....I got no phone call. It was very RUDE to not get a phone call! So truely the only great thing about this hotel was the location and the temperpedic bed....That i couldnt even ENJOY!! THE WEBSITE PICTURES LOOK NICER THAN THEY TRUELY ARE.....LOOKS ARE DECEIVING! Hotel is in a good location for walking to shops, casinos, and restaurants... Unfortunately, our room was considerable barren... Nothing to sit on but the bed... a couple of chairs and/or a table would have been nice.

The hotel is conveniently located near the south lake Tahoe night life. The room was nice and affordable and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

We had a great first time experience here at this hotel! Right when we entered the room I could smell the cleanliness! The bed was amazing! Very comfortable! Will definitely be returning and telling our family and friends!

The hotel was nice and clean. However the service was horrible. When I checked in the late evening the clerk couldn't tell me of any open restaurants in the area besides the casinos. Yet, there was one open right next door. But my biggest problem was the fact that when I went to check out the clerk attempted to charge me a "resort fee" of $15 for parking. […] After minutes of debate and luckily I was able to show her the agreement email on my smart phone from hotels.com did she decide not to charge me. 12 dollars a day for parking at a hotel is stupid, next time I will say on the nv side at a casino

They trird to charge me a resort fee. This is not a resort. It has no ammenties. This is an old motel It is an old property with poor accoustics. Every time someone walks above you, they can be heard down below.

excelent place to stay reasonable prices.

Very affordable place to stay in South Lake and a short walk to the casinos on the Nevada side. There is a lot of outside noise, as the walls are thin. An additional 12 dollar 'resort' fee and very short shower heads are my only real complaints.

I am only 5' 2" and that shower was to small for me. The bed was amazing and the location awesome.

Great staff, Crystal was more than helpful in recommending sights to see, restaurants to eat at, and what to do in town. My wife and I literally stopped for the night to check out tahoe and found ourselves unable to leave. We stayed for a week. Great, friendly town and the inn was perfect for us. Walking distance to shops, casinos, bars and restaurants. […] It's the off season so no skiing or water sports but also no crowds and much relaxation with plenty to do; hiking, fishing, dining, drinking etc... The king size temperpedic beds were also the most comfortable we slept in on our entire road trip. All in all we highly recommend the Park Tahoe Inn. When we arrived the front desk associate was horribly rude. We arrived at 2:45 with a 3pm checkin. Our room was not ready..... ok... so we went to Lunch and came back at 4:15 and our room still not ready. The front desk proceeded to tell me that it was our fault it was not ready because we had showed up at 2:45 and the maid was rushed.... keep in mind […] the check-out time is 11am. The manager came out to assist and put us in a room that was exactly what we had paid for that was ready the entire time. Beyond this incident... there were only 2 towls in our room... Typically a motel/ hotel will provide a few more. The room we were put in was clean and kept nice. again my only reall bad experience was with the cleaniness of our first room and the hotel service. The location was perfect for where we wanted to go. Close to the lake, shops, the casinos, retaurants and everything. The bathroom, however was tiny, including the shower, actually resulting in bodily injury. There were some maintenence issues as well. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here during a bathroom remodel of our house in Tahoe. The front desk staff was VERY helpful and nice. The maid service was the only complaint that I had. There was always something wrong with the maid service such as taking wash cloths and not leaving any, not emptying the trash and not leaving new bags for the ice bucket. Other than that […] I highly recomend this inn. Hotel was very conviniently located down the street fro the wedding venue where we were attending a friend's wedding. Also, right next door is an applebees so we had dinner & cocktails and were able to walk back. no to mention Starbucks is across the street... just a quick walk for some morning coffee! Only bad is walls are a little thin & could hear […] upstairs guests walkin / stomping on floor but after the cocktails next door, I slep VERY well! ;) Also- room was VERY clean. Very conveniently located near shops and restaurants in Sout Lake Tahoe. Can walk to many things from this spot, but there's not really any areas to walk your dogs on the lot.

Be warned: this Inn charges a $12 per day resort fee when you check out! And they do not tell you in advance. This is not a "resort" by any means. Has a pool and spa, but no breakfast, fitness room, business office...all those things you get in a "regular" motel now. There were not enough parking spaces and the lot was full of pot holes. All rooms are […] non-smoking, but they are on an outside hallway, and people were standing in the hallways smoking, so everytime we left our room smoke blew in and we had to walk through the "cloud." Tempurpedic beds and low price got my attention. Was clean, front desk was nice. Everything was great, but i feel that I should bring attention to the height of shower head. If you're taller than 5'7 (which I'm not), and you don't want to bend down to soak your head, you might wanna look elsewhere.

great room and great location

My wife and I had a short South Lake Tahoe visit. The only drawbacks was the noise of the street. Didn't care for the viw of the empty hot tub - but otherwise... pleasant.

I was not impressed with the Motel, The bathroom had mold on the walls, ceiling and the grout in the shower, Bed was not very comfortable did not sleep well and the walls were very thin and you could hear people in the next room and above us talking and walking around, I would never stay here again!

My husband and I were very impressed with the hotel. The location was perfect. The staff was extrememly helpful. We would stay there again.

I thought it was great!! Awesome location, access to private beach, great beds!! The only bad part was a REALLY small shower...but it got the job done so who cares! The pluses outweigh the minuses for this hotel by a longshot. Close to Stateline, across the street from the grocery store, and a few blocks from a cool beach. The room and staff were wonderful, but unfortunately we had some really loud neighbors who didn't seem to care if anyone needed sleep. We'd stay here again with hopes that it would be more quiet next time.

This hotel is within walking distance of stateline. My event was at Harveys, and we just walked there, didn't have to worry about driving in the traffic, parking or anything. Many restaurants nearby, huge shopping center right across the street. Room was nice and comfortable. After checking in my credit card was hit again for the rate of the stay, Had to clear that up the next morning, then upon checking out I was charged a resort fee. I didnt save one penny by using hotels.com and feel I was taken advantage of by the resort with additional fees that were not mentioned to me anywhere.
