"Worst Ever...."
I stayed at your hotel April 24-26 while my family was attending my daughter's family day and basic training graduation from Fort Jackson, SC. We will skip the administrative issues with my reservation since it was through Hotels.com (that's a separate review) and go straight to the facility which was obviously many decades old and badly in need of […] renovation. The shower and tub were moldy; the sink was old and rusty and would only dispense hot water; the mattress and bedding were old and had holes in them; there were exposed electrical outlets; there were holes in the walls, and the level of mold and dust in the air wreaked havoc on mine and my young son's allergies . It was just by far the WORST hotel I have ever been in. If you think I'm exaggerating, I have plenty of pictures I can send upon your request. Just let me know. Your hotel and the ones near it are in place for some of the most important guests you will ever serve: U.S. Army soldiers and their loving families. My husband and I are both Army veterans, and are bursting with pride that our oldest daughter (and thousands of others at Fort Jackson) has decided to follow in our footsteps and serve her country. "Graduation Week"
Hotel was a little dated being that an other friend went with me and was their in 2005 he stated hotel furnishings had not changed since he had gone to a BTC Graduation and it just so happened to be the same hotel . All of the staff were very friendly and helpful . We had 3 rooms our group . And each room had appeared to be need of repair some way my […] room was the sink and one of the beds also we had a whole in the wall and there was some sort of tape on the windows. I stayed one night ate was totally uncomfortable and grossed out by the place. Needs to updated past te 1980's. The next night I went across the street to the holiday inn, it was a little more expensive but totally worth it. I recommend walking across the street and enjoying your evening instead of sleeping in someone else's filth.

The first night I was there the bathtub was dirty and have not been clean and the beds was not what I wanting for my family to sleep on. The floor in the study had beer caps all around the furniture. I was very disappointed of this hotel will not go back to them again.
The price was right. Didn't like the cock roachs in the room.

"Graduation at Ft. Jackson"
Had a lovely few days at the Days Inn. It was clean and quiet (with the exception of children running down the hallways), but that's understandable. I was alone, but had two king-size beds and was very comfortable. It's located only 5 minutes from Ft. Jackson by car, so it's very convenient if you're going to a graduation of visiting. There are lots […] of chain restaurants in the area, but if you want better food, you can go to Columbia where there a many different dining places, like in the Five Points area. Clean, very roomy, close to the camp. Restaurants nearby but a variety for breakfast at the hotel. The only complaint is the sheets were so thin I could see through them.

The hotel staff was very curteous especially the male staff. Not so much the two ladies at the front desk. The houskeepers were very nice and helpful during my 9 day stay while visiting my bf preparing to leave for Afganistan. The indoor pool was nice although the gym apparently has been under construction for two years in which they did not mention. […] The am free breakfast was just ok. Nothing sweet abiut this place.. Rooms were dirty. Bathroom was dirty. The bed was sunken in.. The breakfast was nasty.. There was no place to sit outside to jave a cigar.. I would rather pay more and get more then to pay less and get garbage.. never againnnn
Not fancy but clean and very helpful staff.No problems encountered and would stay there again-good value

"Very Run Down - Needs a lot of work"
This hotel needs a lot of work. There was no ice machine on our floor. The unit was missing and the water supply was left to drip through a drain in the floor. The AC unit in the room didn't work as well as we would have wanted and the bathroom sink was severely damaged, appeared filthy and needed replacement. The pool looked very dirty intitally but […] after closer inspection may just need to be refinished. On the bright side though, the free breakfast in the morning is GREAT! They had biscuits and gravy, fresh waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, grits, cold cereal, coffee & juice. I don't know if we'd stay there again but for the price, it'll definitely get you though. "Old and REALLY Filthy but a friendly desk staff."
When we arrived on Tuesday there was a wide swatch of sticky spilled soda about 8 feet across right in front of the elevator. When we left on Friday, it was still there. The floors were never mopped, Also, when we arrived the previous guests personal soap was still in the shower. We moved the shower curtain when we left for the day (something housekeeping […] obviously didn't do) but never the soap and when we checked out...yes, it was still in there. The curtains in our room were filled with moth holes and were falling off the track. The lobby decor was old and the chairs and couches were black with years of dirt. The floors had big rugs covering large areas of missing tile. The 1980's tables had big chips out of them and they were also dirty. The TV was never turned on for breakfast so I can only assume it didn't work. The "Business Center" was a conference table. No printer or fax or anything I would have expected in a business center The breakfast was small but the food was fairly good. A few mini muffins were on the dry side but it was a decent continental breakfast and included scrambled eggs and sausage, as well as biscuits and gravy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would never stay there ever again. The beds were flithy, bathroom sink and tub were not cleaned. I had to purchase clorox to clean the bathroom before using it. The ceiling in my room on the second floor was leaking, The air conditioner system was so loud i slept maybe only 2 hours each night. Vert dissatisfied!!!! staff was outstanding, very helpful and courteous!!! needs a little updating but was clean and very comfortable. Had an awesome hot breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone and plan to come back in June!!!!

I arrived 3 hours before checkin from an 18 hour drive. The desk clerk was very nice and checked me in as soon as I arrived instead of having me wait. She then recommended an excelent resturant just down the road from the hotel. I was in Columbia for a Graduation from Fort Jackson, and I could not have been more pleased with the location and all other […] aspects. "the DIS in columbia"
the cleaning staff would knock once then try to let themselves in each morning at around 10 while the checkout is at 12....another things is the fact that a case of beer was in the dresser drawers and more in the fridge.

It was a perfect hotel for what we needed. Just 5 minutes to the base, easy on and off 77. It was very clean and the neighborhood was very safe. Close to everything you could possibly need.
