Pretty typical for a motel. But for the price and location, it is a great budget option. No in room coffee, just a microwave and the only coffee is in the lobby, a bit of a inconvenience. A bit older motel, and the room was a bit musty, but everything was in good order and lots of hot water. Week night was quiet but Friday and Saturday night were a […] little louder and not the best soundproofing, but again for the price I 'm not going to complain. The location was what sold me as easy walking distance to the Convention Centre and a 10 minute walk across the eastside bridge and you are in the heart of downtown with all that fantastic food and nighlife. There is a pretty decent breakfast at the Doug Fir 1/2 blk away and a great brew pub around the corner, and a couple of trendy little restaurants closeby, and thankfully no chain restaurants within sight! It was OK. We picked this hotel/motel for its proximity to the convention center. It's walkable, but with the weather and the number of us (4-5) we drove anyway (we were on our feet all day). The bar (Doug Fir Lounge) across the street is killer. The numbers don't reflect dissatisfaction--the hotel was what it was and we picked it for that. The biggest […] plus was that the hotel honored our "Do No Disturb" sign all week. I'm not a fan of any one poking through my room when I'm not there, so thanks to the Eastside lodge for that. Across the street from the hipster-hangout Jupiter hotel, this is a great option if you want to visit the party, and have a quite place to sleep. Accommodations aren't lavish, but they're clean and comfortable. Price can't be beat.

This place was clean and very convenient to town but the environment is extremely loud. If you don't mind the noise of a busy street right by your window, trains honking their horns all night long or drunken guests running around at 3am then this place is for you. I asked the reception for a room away from the street but none was available, he said […] the area is "lively". There is nothing fancy about this motel but it is clean and my interactions with the front desk employees were great. It's a fantastic location for visiting Portland if you'll be in the downtown or NW/NE/SE areas. The room (308) was clean but several elements were super outdated (bathroom especially). The heat and A/C worked, the windows opened for […] fresh air, there was hot water. Bed was comfortable enough. Outside noise was only a problem when people were walking and talking along the sidewalk outside window - not often. The elevator made a HORRIFYING sound both times I took it up ... It is what it is, a bargain hotel, but it's a perfectly good one, no complaints. I would stay there again. That part of Burnside is nicer than I remembered.

I was originally to give it a 2 points until i saw my friend's room in Double tree hilton rented for 3 times as much. Our room was better in couple ways....it had a mini fridge, micorwave. Room is very clean, clean linens, towels. My super sensitive wife did smell something mild from toilet. But, keeping the fan on was good enough. Lots of parking […] in the lot and in the street. The hotel was in a close to where we needed to be. Walking distance to all the place we wanted to go. It's an older hotel but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to stay if not planning to spend a lot of time in your room. Great price.

I got a good price and the place was simple and clean. The hotel staff let me stay an hour longer after checkout, which was nice.

I was very impressed with the comfort and clenliness of the room for the price. I will recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget. The water pressure in the shower is amazing too.

Located within easy walking distance of the Portland Market, Downtown and restaurants. The neighbourhood is undergoing a transition with some trendy restaurants and some empty buildings.

Although the Hotel is old, it was clean. Very basic room. Disadvantage was there was only 2 plug ins in the entire room.

We have tried lots of hotels in the Portland area to try to get close to the action without spending a fortune. For the money this is a great motel. We had a double double. The room was clean, the bed was firm. It was much quieter than the Jupiter next door which has paper thin walls. You can explore the eastside or walk or bike over the Burnside bridge […] to downtown. The location of the place is great and the rooms were in much better condition than I expected for a motel. Also, it was nice to have such a vibrant nightlife so close to the place. The only reason I gave it a low review is that the beds were horrible. I woke up and felt like I went 2 rounds with Mike Tyson. My lower back muscles were killing me.

I was able to reach it from where I got off the bus.

We had an incredibly loud, drunk group that was split between two rooms on either side of our room who were simply obnoxiously loud. Staff did nothing about them, I had to go over and deal with them myself to make them shut up. The pool was closed, the building itself is old and while fairly clean, it's on it's last legs. When I asked for a room change […] to get away from the loud neighbors on both sides I was told there were no other rooms available and then saw two "ladies of the night" walk over and get rooms with no reservations at all. I would never go back to this hotel even if it only cost what it was worth (maybe $25 a night?) due to how rude the night and "next day" staff were about everything. Przeczytaj więcej

The hotel was pretty good for the price. The only thing I'd complain about is there is a little smoking area that happened to be right outside out room, and drunk people sat out there all night being extremely loud and obnoxious. It would've been nice for hotel staff to come out and tell them to shush.
