Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and spacious. Breakfast had good variety and hot. Overall good experience.

Not as convenient to the French quarter as we hoped. We ended up taking bike taxis home each night, not feeling comfortable with the walk from the trolley station to the hotel after dark. We were traveling with a group and knew we would need pizza delivery one night. I requested information from the hotel prior to arrival, but found the information […] incorrect on arrival. Previous stays at embassy hotels left us to have high expectations for breakfast. While the selections were good, all of our group experienced cold food at least one day. Two of our three rooms had phones out of order, and did not receive fresh towels, even after the old towels were removed. The stay was...ok - just not what we had come to expect from an embassy. First time at the Embassy Suite but won't be the last. Plan to stay again soon. Loved the warehouse district. Everything I needed was close by. The weather was great so didn't mind the walk to the French Quarters. Buffet breakfast was a plus. Staff was courteous and very helpful. We stayed at the Embassy Suites for the MUSES Parade n- Mardi Gras, the Hotel was conveniently located from the main attraction that we were in town for, The MUSES Parade. Very friendly staff!

GREAT LOCATION, WONDERFUL BREAKFAST, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF... WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND..

I have always had good experiences when staying at an Embassy Suites. This New Orleans location however, I had a room on the 9th floor and found the front door of my room to be outside - it was as if this hotel was similar to a Super 8 where all the room entrances are outdoors. The location of this hotel is excellent,close to a lot of NOLA major attractions.There are a lot of art galleries along Julia street. As usual the free breakfast was excellent and ditto for the free evening drinks in a welcoming atmosphere of the lobby. Unlike other Embassy suites we stayed in there is no pool or jacuzzi.There was no free newspaper. The hotel interior (lobby,halls and rooms) seem old, dated and in need of upgrading.Six out of the 7 on the floor vending machines were broken Most importantly the couch bed is EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE AND OLD.They are definitely unfit for human sleep. The lobby gift shop is useless,fortunately there is a well stocked convenient store down the block. again unlike other Embassy Suite we stayed at there is no business center (free PC and printers etc). I have stayed here many times in the past 10 years and have always enjoyed my stay at the Embassy. Was a bit more expensive than some of the other hotels when I was visiting b/w Xmas and New Years but, totally worth the difference. My room in the annex was big and comfortable and had a great view. Quiet w/ lots of sunlight as well as a view of the street. […] Bathroom was much bigger than expected. Breakfast was worth every extra cent and so very convenient. My only suggestion would be if they offered free internet in the rooms or at least in the public areas! At 3 PM, I got a call from Olivier's @ 204 Decateur cancelling our dinner reservations that evening. Needless to say, I was a bit upset as I had 24 other ppl flying in from all over to meet for dinner that night to start start our N.O. meeting. I called down to the front desk and the concierge was absolutely FABULOUS! He was incredibly helpful and called around to a lot of the N.O. restauarants trying to get us reservations for that night. We ended up @ the Red Fish Grill in a private dining room. It was absolutely perfect. That concierge really went above and beyond his duty and we are so appreciative. In conclusion, I love Embassy Suites in New Orleans and their staff is par excellence. This hotel was immaculate!! The staff went above & beyond to be helpful!! Close to Emeril's restaurant. And shopping two blocks away! It was perfect for our trip!!! Definitely will be staying there again!!!

This hotel is close enough to walk to the Quarters. The area is decent and the hotel is a fantastic value. Breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. I did lose a pair of boots in the room and had some trouble getting someone to tell me if they found them. Outside of this, our visit was great. Also, good hotel room for large families.

We stayed Christmas - New Years. We liked the location - within a nice walk of everything we wanted to see - and close to the street cars. The complimentary breakfast was great - high quality and abundant. The happy hour was enjoyable - the bartenders and drinks quite nice. The hallway near our room had a spill of some sort that appeared out second […] day - and was never cleaned. A quick steam would have cleaned up the mess. We kept stepping over it - so as not to make it worse. Several rooms ordered room service and the dishes were left on the hallway floor for hours - a number of times we had to scoot around the maids cart, the step over the spill on the carpet then dodge dirty dishes on the floor. We had a very good location with a balcony - but there was no furniture on it - this may have been due to the season. The rooms were clean and the staff was great - especially since we checked in at 2:00 am. We enjoyed the breakfast - made to order omelets and lots if juices and fruit. Lots of space for people to sit and eat. The woman who handed out the trays was very friendly and a joy to see first thing in the morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again and recommend it to others. We stayed at the Embassy Suites because we always trust the hotel chain, no matter where we go. This place was no exception. The hotel price was affordable, the front desk people were cordial, the breakfast was yummy (and free), the manager's reception was great (also free), and the room was comfortable and clean. Nice accommodations, enjoyed breakfast and happy hour snacks. Pleasant staff.

Overall nice hotel and staff. Only complaint was that we had no hot water in the morning.

I enjoyed the stay being that it was Embassy Suites. I had to ask for an inside room. I thought all rooms would be locted on the inside. No other major concern with the rooms.

The only thing that I can really complain about was the lack of hot water in the room. Also, the tub was very slow to drain, causing the water to back up while showering.

Hotel staff were very service oriented and breakfast was excellent- not sure why there is no question about breakfast. Upgraded to nicer room after first night when 2 beds were not available, but spent first night on sofa sleeper which had virtually no mattress so I felt springs all night. When we travel, we usually try to stay at an Embassy Suites hotel because they are consistently clean, comfortable, and we enjoy the free managers reception and breakfast. The New Orleans Embassy Suites definitely did not disappoint for these things. The manager's reception is nice. They have a free open bar (tips are highly encouraged), and there […] are free snack foods (chips and pretzels, etc) available. The appetizers were a tad expensive for what we received, but not so much that it overly bothered us. The breakfast buffet is also nice. They have cereals, bagels, muffins, fruit, juices, etc. And the have a hot bar where you can get eggs, biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, and made to order omelettes. All of that said, we were a little disappointed at the high nightly rate for the hotel (even on Sun and Mon) considering the location is a bit farther away from the French Quarter than just about every other hotel. And considering the somewhat high nightly rate, we felt nickel & dimed because you must pay extra for valet because there simply is no other option for parking. And not even something as basic as wireless internet is included. (I guess they charge extra for these things to offset the free breakfast and manager's reception.) Bottom line is; while this hotel is nice, clean, comfortable, etc., and I would stay there again (assuming I got a better deal on the nightly rate), be prepared for the unexpected costs. Very well located if your event is at the convention center. Not too far from Bourbon Street either.I found the staff to be very responsive and cordial. In a good location and away from French Quarters noise which is easily in walking distance. The price of parking daily (30.00 before tax) per day is highway robbery. The room I had was small but overall clean.

i recently stayed at the Embassy and loved the balcony view of the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. the only thing i didnt like was it said on the internet that the king suit would have a whirlpool tub and shower and our room didnt. But the hotel was right down the road form canal st where all the things to do are.

Embassy Suites is right downtown....where all the fun is. Stay here....save some cash....and spend it all on food. Go to Mulates......seafood......2 blocks away.

Breakfast was awesome, rooms were clean, and the service was fantastic. This was my second time to stay here and I plan on making it our only choice for a hotel anytime we go back to New Orleans.

I loved my stay in New Orleans mainly due to the my stay at Embassy Suites. It is located away from all of the chaos that is the French Quarters, yet close enough to it to walk to or ride the Julia St trolly. My wife and I ate at the restaurant downstairs in the lobby every night. The food was just as good as anywhere else in all of the city- I guarantee. […] And the waitress, Deborah, was the best! She told us where we should visit during our stay, talked to us as if we were life long friends, and just made us feel comfortable all around. You could also walk just one block to Emeril's. The concierge downstairs were great at handling all of our activities and never made us feel just another customer. Very surprising since we have experienced this before from other hotels. The price was right for our room, and the view was very nice. My only complaints are that you had to pay more than you'd want to for internet access and parking, but you would have these same charges at any other comparable hotel. - we stayed in Lofts, across the street from main building. Safe, staff friendly, great breakfast, and great location in dwntwn New Orleans.

Hotel is ina great location because it's in walking distance from the Riverwalk and Convention Center. The breakfast was great and the room was not five star but four. I would recommend it and would stay there again.
