GREAT LOCATION TO MOST SIRE AND ENTERTAINMENT. STAFF VERY HELPFUL. CLEAN BUT SMALL ROOMS, AS ARE MOST THERE.

Outstanding hotel. The location was perfect. We had a small balcony facing Acropolis. It was so romantic to sit there with a glass of wine viewing the hill totally lit up above us. The staff was friendly and with a genuine wish to assist and help. Everyone we asked made their utmost to gather the information we needed or booking the trips we wished […] to participate in. Trips and tours needed to be paid in cash, however no problem for them to make the reservations and let us pay later after having visited an ATM. This hotel is one of the best ones I have stayed at, and I have 3-4 travelling days a week... so this is really a FABULOUS hotel. Walked everywhere. Spend the extra for the terrace with view of the Acroplis. Astounding. Picked up the city tour bus at the end of the block.

Great location in the Plaka. You can walk to all the major atttractions from there. Hard beds though and small outdoor rooftop pool which was cold (water) in Sept. Would be very crowded in the summer. There is however a very small warm indoor pool. Very satisfied.

After staying on the other side of Athens before moving to Plaka, it was a welcome treat to be in hotel which was in a great location. The hotel itself is impressive with a beautiful roof swimming pool with a view of the Acropolis. The restaurant has a great view - although the hotel promotes it as a bar and restaurant but you can't go for just a drink. […]  My only complaints were that the staff were a little surly - it was impossible to get an answer from reception when calling down - and the breakfast was terrible! Perfect Plaka location.It has a lovely breakfast garden and the rooftop pool is perfect for cooling off after a hot day of sightseeing. The pool and its adjacent bar have stunning views of the Acropolis. While the hotel is really a five star facility, it is a solid four star hotel and a great value.

Stayed there in July 2009 and thought it was a great hotel: located in Plaka so very close to all the sites, rooftop pool with a Parthenon view is a nice touch. If you can, ask for a room on a high floor - you will get a view of either Parthenon or the Lykabettus hill.

This hotels is located in a good loation next to market places and the Acropolis and the new museum. All within walking distance to the above mentioned highlights. Hwever, the hotel itself is very old and run down. Rooms were small and its furnitures very old. I was surprised to see that his hotel had a five star rating. I thought the price of the hotel […] was quite high as well for what you get.. I never stayed at another hotel in Athens, so I dont have anything to compared to. I think there must be another hotel with similar price range in equally good locations bt with better rooms and amenitues. The condition and the location of the hotel are excellent. Staffs are supportive and courteous. Our room was in the 4th floor, initially a spacious one, but couldn't sleep because of the chair and table pulling noise from the dinning room above until early hours. On our request the room was changed but on this occasion it was a cramped triple bed room […] with old carpet floor. In the second occasion our night sleep was disturbed in the early hours by noisy, arguing neighbours. In both room beds are not at all comfortable, firm mattress and flat pillows. We stayed at the Electra Palace for 4 days during our recent visit to Athens. We reserved and prepaid for a 'triple' room (for me, my wife, and 12 yr. old son). The hotel is in very good condition and is very nicely-appointed. The 'triple' room, being a standard-size room with a double bed (actually two single beds pushed together)and a day bed/couch, […] was quite cramped, but comfortable. The rooftop pool area was a very nice place to relax, with excellent views of the Acropolis, especially at night when the entire hill is illuminated. The hotel's location in the Plaka district is quite convenient, with a great deal of tourist-oriented shopping and restaurants within a short walk. The only problem we experienced during our stay was with some of the hotel staff. Although we arrived with smiles on our faces and some basic knowledge of Greek language, the reception we got was ice-cold! We were assigned a room on the 4th floor, directly across from the elevators. When I mentioned that I would like a room in a quiet section, away from the elevators, the same receptionist gave us another room on the 2nd floor. That room turned out to be right next to another set of elevators! When I pointed out the problem to her again, she became noticeably agitated, assigned us another room (this time one room away from the elevators), and stated that this 'would be the last room they could offer us'. It seems that her displeasure in having to meet this basic request extended to the bellhops too, since their attitude was also quite sour. The attitudes and demeanor of many of the lounge and restaurant staff were similarly brusk and detached, which was quite perplexing since we are good tippers and were trying our hardest to be cordial. We did encounter some staff members who were polite and even cheery in a few cases, so I can't give them a blanket 'poor attitude' rating overall. This hotel was in the perfect location. It was in the center of things but a few streets over so it was very quiet. It was very very close to all the things we wanted to see, the location was perfect. The rooftop pool was fantastic. It has a perfect view the Acropolis and was all lit up at night. The room and service was very very nice. The room was […] a little pricey but well worth the money. The breakfast was wonderful as well. The staff provided recommendations for restaurants and called ahead for us. We really really enjoyed the stay and will definitely stay there again if we ever go back. Przeczytaj więcej

Staff is friendly and helpful, lobby is beautiful, breakfast was included and delicious, location is excellent, rate was reasonable, rooms are clean, comfy and plush (although single rooms are a little too small). I love this hotel.

Overall, the hotel was good with one of the best locations in Athens if you are there to see the parthenon and other historical sites. The twin beds in the room only had one pillow each. The beds would have been much more comfortable if they had an additional pillow.

Bra hotell og hyggelig betjening. Synd at steambadet var fjernet. Det var også et problem at alle nøkelkortene 2 ganger sluttet å virke slik at en måtte tilbake til resepsjonen for å få de ordnet på nytt. Der ga de mange underlige forklaringer på hvorfor dette skjedde.....

Its close (walking distance) to all interesting points. The staff is nice and friendly only the barmen is rude. Do not go and have a drink there, go out to one of the many restaurants they are very nice! The breakfast is nice but a little poor with fruits. All waiters are friendly but one is very frustrated with his job. He throws the set of instruments […] on the table so that you are scared to ask for anything further! The roof restaurant has a nice view but the food is too expansive for what you get. We had room 430 and it was terribly loud because from 6.30 till midnight the staff uses the room next door. Fantastiskt läge i Plaka. Många trevliga restauranger på kort promenadavstånd. Gott om butiker i närheten. Bra rum och fin frukostbuffé. Terrassen högst upp har utsikt mot Akropolis. Fint speciellt kvällstid. Kan rekommenderas.

Läget på hotellet är perfekt, bra standard och en utmärkt frukost.

Hotel bien placé avec toutes les prestations qu'on attend d'un 5 étoile. Un inconvénient majeur : Chambre double vraiment peite pour un 5 étoile avec lit de 140 cm....

Kanonhotell, Pool på taket! Hotellet har även en av Atens bättre restauranger med en utsikt som slår det mesta. Läget är bra med gångavstånd till Akropolis, Syntagmatorget, bussar och tåg till flygplatsen. Tre minuter till Plakaområdet med 100-tals restauranger.

This hotel has an excellent location and a nice rooftop swimmingpool.

Dette hotellet ligger midt i gamlebyen, kort vei til severdigheter, shopping og restauranter. Takterasse med bassenget er fantastisk på varme dager. Frokosten er veldig bra. Har bodd her både med og uten barn, anbefaler hotellet på det varmeste for alle.

Beliggenheden i en stille sidegade, men alligevel tæt på det gamle Athen er perfekt. Herudover er poolen på toppen af hotellet med udsigt til Akropolis fantastisk stemningsfyldt. God morgenmadsbuffet og lækker restaurant ligeledes på toppen af hotellet med udsigt til Akropolis. If you want to be in walking distance to "everything" this is the place. Top comfort, top service, helpfull staff

Hotellet har et fint basseng på takterrassen med flott utsikt til Akropolis. Kort gangavstand til restuatanter og butikker. Fint frokost/lunch/middagsomårde i egen hage.

Skønt hotel med bedste beliggenhed for foden af Akropolis og lige ned til Plaka. Swimmingpool m udsigt - luksus i en storby som athen. Har været her flere gange og kommer igen!
