"Stayed here several times!"
This was the 3rd time I stayed here. The hotel staff is always very helpful. On my first two stays the rooms were great away from the elevator and always very clean and comfy beds and everything. However, the last room I stayed my room was near the elevator and it was very loud until about 12am then it quieted down, but started up again about 6:30am. […] This will not force me to stay somewhere else! I like this hotel it's very close to Fort Jackson where my husband is doing his army training!! Great Hotel and will continue to stay there! "Overall a good experience"
We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel but what time we were there, it was overall a good experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but only after I give you 1 warning about the bedding. There was not an extra blanket in the room, the top sheet didn't come up far enough and the top spread fell off during the night (because it was a satiny […] material). So either bring a blanket or ask the desk clerk for one when you check in and you'll have a good experience worth the cost of the room. It was clean. Check in was a breeze. "Hassle-free stay"
We were pleased with the hotel and the staff were pleasant and helpful. It was easy to get to Fort Jackson for our daughter's graduation and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this place. I cam for Fort Jackson graduation. It was perfect!
"Old and dated"
Hotel was ok, I would not recommend for a family. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy- located between Columbia & military base. Price was decent. Pool was not opened- it's Spring Break & reached 88°. The bathtub's bottom was peeling away. Fortunately, we only had to stay 1 night!!
"Stay AWAY !!"
I have stayed in many hotels and I can only think of two that were worse. I don't know if it was the plumbing, HVAC or what but it sounded like a freight train was coming through our room all night! I chose the hotel because it appeared to be fairly highly rated but it was horrible. Rooms were worn out and the hotel is in need of many updates!
"Excellent value - less expensive than I-20"
Me and 3 other guys stayed here on the way to the Masters practice rounds. Just a few miles off I-20 but the rate and the free breakfast was worth it. 2 nice large beds in each room (yes, we reserved 2 rooms); TV was great; cooling/heating was perfect; breakfast was just enough. The hotel pool was not in working order. I also did not realize that the hotel also hosts dogs. I probably would not have stayed there if I had known that ahead of time. The dogs were everywhere.

We had a pleasant stay. All the personnel were friendly and helpful. We were visiting Ft Jackson and it was short distance from our hotel.

"La Quinta Main Gate Ft Jackson Graduation"
Overall good hotel for the price - It's not far from Ft Jackson so if you're planning to go to a graduation, I would recommend it because it is right off the highway & easy to get to. The hotel is pet friendly but you would never guess - no odors. If I am ever in the area again, I would go back.

For the price per night I was expecting much more. This hotel need thousands of dollars of maintenance. The toilet seat was falling off in the bathroom. The bathtub tile was in need of some serious cleaning. On the positive side, the front desk staff was courteous and professional and the location is convenient.

I had read the other reviews on this particular hotel, and it was the best of any in the area. Now having stayed there ourselves, it did indeed live up to the positive reviews. It surprises me that these lower priced hotels have all these amenities, such as a fridge, microwave, tv and such, but when you go to a high price hotel, you have to pay extra […] for those items if they even offer them. This location had all these. The rooms were tastefully done with comfy linens on the beds. The only thing that was a negative, and because of the placement of our room not a real major, but you could hear the elevator when it ran. We were about 6 doors down from it, but not sure I would have been happy had our room been closer. All in all, we had good rest, clean room, good variety at breakfast and very friendly staff. We were pleased with the updated and clean room. The choices for the complimentary breakfast were ample and the quality of the food was very good. The staff members at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The hotel was convenient to Ft. Jackson, where we attended our niece's graduation from basic training.

It was okay. Found a blue pill on the floor, thankfully my kids are old enough not to put things in their mouths and my son caught it before my dog ate it. Room was comfortable. "A very good hotel"
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. If I travel back to Fort Jackson I will stay at this hotel again.

when we arrived we found a used bandaid on the floor in a corner, we had no towels and the room was dusty. we called the front desk to tell them about the bandaid and no towels and no one ever came up to remedy the situation. my husband did have to walk down to get the towels himself but the bandaid was never removed. GROSS!!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and offered suggestions on where to eat--we followed up on these and were very pleased with the recommendations. The breakfast offerings were excellent as well as the pool; we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff very polite, pool was great, breakfast the best continental breakfast cause they had sausge and eggs. Also only 3 miles from base greatt location, near museums and other interesting sites also

Room was clean. Toilet tended to run. The pool was nice/clean, but pool furniture was in sad repair.

Went there for daughters BCT Graduation (3 nights) Great location, and not far from Fort Jackson front gate (10-15 minute drive)... Near all shops and restaurants.. "Great place to stay"
I went to see my son graduate basic training. This was the place to go! Great location and really not that far from the base. Easy locations for food. Breakfast was great at the hotel and I was really happy overall with it. Everybody and everything was friendly and welcoming.

The floor adjacent to the bath tub needs attention, and one could see a small hole in the wall. The shower handle was ready to fall off, and the screws that hold the control to the wall were ready to fall out. "another satisfactory stay at the la quinta"
we arrived at noon on a friday. the lady at the front desk (patrice) very kindly accommodated our request for a room on the 2nd floor near the stairs as our dog does not like the elevator. our stay was pleasant, breakfast was good and our room was clean. best of all, they did not charge us extra for our pet. we will definitely stay there again.

We chose this hotel because the amenities listed included laundry facilities. Upon arrival, we found out that this location does not have any. Other than that, the room was clean and the continental breakfast was pretty good.

we arrived late and were checked in with no fuss at all. our reception was warm and friendly. we were given clear directions where to park and how to use the side door. the room was clean and quiet. breakfast was good and the lady taking care of it was fantastic. everyone was nice... this was southern hospitality to a T. i'm often in columbia to visit […] my daughter and la quinta will be my second home from now on. This hotel was very convenient to the interstate and easy to get to. There were restaurants close by which made it easy to find dinner. The room was clean and the service was friendly.

Stayed at this LaQuinta for quick night, picking up soldier next day. Little hard to find (located behind a Shoneys) at night but room was very stylish & modern. Loved that dog could stay too as this was first trip ever with the Rottie.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We had our pet with us and the only problem we had was no grassy area to walk our dog. This was our second time at this location and we would stay again.
