The room I stayed at in this hotel was very clean and of normal size. Not much to complain about there. The only issues were the climate of the room, which tended to get pretty stuffy, and there were also a good anount of noises..such as hearing people through the doors and sounds with regard to heating/cooling turning on/shutting off etc. It is conveniently […] located for driving purposes on the roundabout in Portsmouth. Parking is free. Not so convenient if you're looking to stay in the actual city of Portsmouth, however, because it is not within walking distance. Overall, it was better than what I had envisioned for this hotel on a last minute booking..but nothing to write home about. Came for a workshop given on New Castle Island. The directions I had were from another direction and the desk clerk sent me to get settled in my room and then presented me with a detailed map to get to the precise location. we had a very quiet, romantic room facing a rural road and homes, felt like being in the country, yet close to everything. room was steps to the pool and whirlpool, which were excellent. Clean, Comfortable, Convenient, and Cost effective!

It was nice! The price was inflated bc of the holiday weekend. I was just surprised that even though this was our honeymoon....the staff did not even say congrats or give us any perks! when i worked in hotels...you give the newlyweds breakfast or something! I couldn't even get a discount! oh well

One of the few BW hotels that didn't include breakfast, just a coupon for a discount at a neighboring restaurant. Don't know why it has the "plus" distinction.

A way over priced hotel - that is actually more motel standard. Rooms smelled as if someone had been smoking in them. Plan on using taxis if you want to eat in central Porstmouth as it is not quite walkable if you want to have a drink with your meal. Very disappointing for the price and compared to other hotels in this area.

I grew up in Portsmouth, NH, so I am very familiar with this lovely area. The hotel had updated bath and linens, so my room was very comfortable. Location right off traffic circle of Route 95 and Rt. 16 was very convenient.I had an issue with an electrical problem such that the hair dryer would not work. Someone came up immediately to replace the hair […] dryer, however, the problem was electrical. I left the room. When I returned at the end of the day there was a new hair dryer, but it also did not work. I informed the front desk, said I did not need the appliance as I was checking out in the am. Right across from the "circle" in Portsmouth = a lot of traffic & far enough away from downtown to have to drive. Welcoming receptionist was terrific and very friendly & helpful - exceptional!

My wife and I wanted a quiet place to stay for our first visit in Portsmouth. We wanted to be close to donwtown. We unfortunately didn't get to stay for long but the short time we were there was absolutely great. The staff was pleasant and helpful and very accomodating. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who asks. Great job!

The hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. It's close to Market St. in Portsmouth where there are shops and restaurants not be missed. It's 10 minutes from the outlets of Kittery Maine (also not to be missed) and 20 minutes from York Beach in Maine. Great time for excellent value.

This was booked on the net and even with a Gamin GPS it took us 2 tries to hit the mark. I'll admit I'm not all that used to driving on the right hand side of the road and coming off that huge roundabout, found myself in the wrong lane. 3 minutes later we're checking in and from there on everything was great. The location of this Best Western is perfect! The lobby is clean, inviting and the staff is courteous and very helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. The only complaint I have it's about the mattress, I think this is key item that really needs to be the best. We both woke up with achy backs. The room was clean and staff was very friendly.

This hotel was fabulous aside from our "non-smoking" room completely reeked of cigarette smoke upon entering the room. I don't mean old stale cigarette smoke from decades of incessant ciggy puffing. This hotel was perfect for a quick stop outside of Portsmouth. The bed was very comfortable. I slept quite soundly. The room was nice and spacious and had a homey feel to it.
