This hotel is close to Amtrak and near other stuff. Plenty of food places nearby. The employees are very helpful. My only gripe is that the tub and sink did not drain properly. Hubby fixed the sink. The tub was reported to management when we checked out.

When you walked into the Lobby it smelled bad, and so did the rooms, like urine. Both rooms did not have clean floors, carpets had terrible spots and trash behind bathroom door in one room, room 127. The room with the double beds had centipedes, room 127. The room with the king size bed, room 134, when they pulled their sheets back, there were black […] hairs in the bed. Maybe pet hairs. They advertise on line to have a restaurant, but did not. I can handle older hotels, but not unclean ones. This hotel needed remodelling. Pretty dingy and old. The breakfast had no protein. The staff at the front desk was helpful, but it should be a one star.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the St Louis area. It's affordable and it's a nice quality hotel.

"Not bad, not great"
The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. The building itself is older. The room was clean. The beds and pillows were nice. The pool and hot tub were a disappointment the second night's stay. The hot tub was not functional and a light in the pool was floating in the deep end. It was swimable, but gave me an uneasy feeling.

Just recently made reservations at this hotel. We checked in and the first room we had the toilet didn't flush, and the telephone didn't work. Complained to the front desk and the second room had roaches!!!! We immediatley checked out and got a different hotel!!!!!!

The other reviews are not accurate. This is a fine hotel for the price. The front desk was considerate and honest in our dealings. As an older hotel - it shows its age - but anyone who makes reservations can take that into consideration. On this visit (we are repeat visitors) it was blisteringly hot and it took quite a while for the room to cool off […] - but it was free of excess outside noise and clean. It had good amenities. "check it out"
This is the nastyest hotels i have ever stayed at it was in a good location but it was not maintained .The rooms are dirty and the doors dont close very easy and the bathroom light did not work. Would not stay there and hotel .com should not book anyone there if this the rooms hotel .com has i will never book with them again. THANKS
The room was no smoking but smelled like an old ash tray. The carpet and room are old and worn and the air conditioner /heater was loud. It did appear clean, however, and the bed was comfortable.

When we stayed at the Quality Inn, we had electrical problems. A lamp was broken when we arrived. We didn't know it was broken, until the top fell off, and shot sparks accross the room. After having management remove the lamp, we had more problems. About 4 hours later (in the middle of the night) the electricity went out on one side of the room. I reported […] this to management, and they just gave us a 10% discount. I told them that 10% was not sufficient for the hassel and the danger. They didn't not offer anything else. this was a pretty decent hotel. pool didn't look like it did on the picture. all in all the room was clean and felt comfortable. But the kids loved it!

"Quality Inn Southwest St. Louis -- cheap / OK"
This was one of the least expensive hotels I found in the area near where my parents live. I had stayed at the Days Inn next door once, and had problems there. My stay at Quality Inn this time was okay...about what you expect for the price. It was actually quiet and the bed was okay (although the poofy square pillows suck). "Quality Inn Southwest, St. Louis Mo"
The motel is an older motel but is clean and friendly. It was near some attractions and lots of restrauants. We were visiting relatives and it was fairly close to them. It was very quiet, which suprised me since it was in such a busy area. It was about a block from the Interstate so it was easy to find. We did not eat breakfast but it was provided.

Building was old and run down. Hotel was in a good location, but not worth the stay. Found blood stains on our sheets and room had a bad smell.
