Pobyt w hotelu korzystny pod względem położenia, krótki spacer na zakupy i bliska odległość atrakcji dla zwiedzających miasto. Dużym minusem była wysoka cena za usługi gastronomiczne, wręcz kosmiczna cena za śniadanie w hotelu (ponad 40 $ za osobę - szwedzki stół) ale po drugiej stronie ulicy świetny lunch bar z dużą ilością breakfast menu. Zjedzenie dobrego śniadania nie było problemem(mnóstwo restauracji)w promieniu kilkuset metrów. Drugim minusem był brak widoku z okna, tylko mury sąsiednich budynków, nawet nie widziałam nieba z 16 piętra mojego pokoju. I jeszcze nie spełnione prośby przy rezerwacji. Byliśmy z dziećmi i wszstkie pokoje były na różnych piętrach a pokoje kupowaliśmy 3 miesiące wcześniej (prośba o wspólny korytarz nie spełniona) więc nie powinno być problemu w tej kategorii hotelu, a jednak był. Pokój jak na USA mały.

Hotel w bardzo dogodniej lokalizacji, blisko Union Square, łatwy dostęp metrem do całego Manhatanu. Sam pokój bardzo malutki, ale wystarczający na krótki pobyt, łóżko trochę skrzypiące. Spory hałas od ulicy spowodowany wbudowanym klimatyzatorem w okno.

I stayed at this hotel at least 5 times over the last 3 years. It used to be a holiday inn but not anymore, I guess they were not fulfilling their standard. In brief: hotel is poorly maintained, falling apart. I saw the police came in twice in 3 days, one time I saw a guy handcuffed escorted by the cops. The breakfast is just awful. Wnen i got to my room the card lock and door was broken .I finnally got in and the bathroom was clean but sink and shower was a falling apart just like thew door. By the window looks like mold or something. At least the bed was good
"3 stars is a joke"
Room was falling apart. Non-smoking room with a remote control that cigarettes were put out on. Run the shower for 10 mins and the warmest it gets is extremely cold. Run the sink for 10 mins it barely sort of reaches lukewarm, kinda at best. I'm never stating here again and would def not recommend it to anyone

Don't let the price fool you! STAY AWAY! This is called a hotel but has the look n feel of a motel. I wouldn't even stay here for a cheap thrill! I checked in and an hour later I was leaving for another hotel nearby.
At first, the customer service was good, but the next day before checkout, I wanted to take a shower and there was no hot water running to my room. The continental breakfast was less than satisfying and my boyfriend and I had to go elsewhere for breakfast. "comfy stay"
My stay here was a comfy and quiet. There was no complaints except for the false advertisement of TV channels that they say they supposedly have. This is an old Holiday Inn so you could tell the wall paper in the rooms and the lobby of the hotel was never done over. This is a good location for where we needed to be that weekend, but upon entry this smoke-free property appeared to have just hosted a Virginia Slims smoke-off. Nasty smoke smells everywhere. Ice machines were not functioning on 3rd and 4th floors. There was a dog in the neighboring room (who knew!). We had never been to New Jersey or New York, so when we decided to take a last minute trip we were shocked to find out that the hotels charge up to $100.00 non-refundable pet fee. My room had a noisy AC system, wich was missing some buttons. Some of the controls were just rusty pieces of metal, rough to the touch. The bathroom was poorly presented, it needs a serious upgrade, and the tub showed signs of having been fixed and sealed at the joints by a non professional unexperienced worker. This hotel had exceptionally nice staff but it is delapidated, stinky from cigarette smoke, with cracks all over, broken fixtures and a dirty, skanky pool. The breakfasts were great and the staff really nice.

Even though they say this hotel is close to airport it took me over 50 minutes to get there, due to the many signs that you need to follow prior to get there and while driving there; if you take the wrong street you may have to drive 2 or 3 miles to get out or do a u turn to get back to the right street. "A nice surprise"
Clean, comfortable, and remarkably quiet for being right on Route 22. Continental breakfast assisted by helpful staff. Only negative was the stench of cigarette smoke, presumably from attached bar/pub, in the hotel's lobby.

It was not stated to me that a fax confirmation on paper had to be received before the hotel could process the room to you. Even if you had a confirmation number with an email confirming the room was booked and charged to your room- the hotel had to receive a paper confirmation via fax. After 2 plus hours of getting the room the heater in the room did not work and the janitor or maintenance person could not fix it. The hotel stated there was nothing they could do about. So my family and i slept in our coats clothes, with blankets to keep us warm. WORSE NIGH EVER IN A HOTEL NOT. Not even an incentive given for the cold room and long wait. "Cozy!"
Slept like a rock, beds were comfy, the heat worked good and the overall rooms were clean. The only problem was the bath tubs were a little dirty with mold in the grout and the there wasn't any hot water when I showered in the morning. Hopefully, they will fix that issue down the line.

We stayed there for a night due to power outage in our area. I appreciate we can stay in this hotel in a warm and bright room, however, the carpet in our room is so dirty and looks like it's never be cleaned. Also, the heater is hard to adjust to a proper temperature. If you turn warm it became so hot, and if you turn to cooler, it became cold right […] away. We had to get up many times at night to adjust the temperature. Also the bed sheet is not clean as we found something dirty on the sheet. "Pretty good"
We stayed here after finding that EVERY hotel in the Newark area (20 mi radius) was booked with the exception of here. Before booking this room, I read many negative reviews and was expecting a hole of a hotel but it was MUCH better than I anticipated. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs which I found convenient since we knew nothing about the area […] but could see how it's a nuisance to some. The room was nothing extravagant but clean and good enough for one night's stay -- not sure I would have been happy here for more than maybe 2 nights. The front desk staff was friendly. No major complaints. For all those considering this hotel, don't be scared off by the negative reviews. The front desk people were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is excellent. And that's where it ends. The condition of the rooms are horrible. While the bed is comfortable, the carpet is stained, the doors don't close properly, the wallpaper is stapled on and I don't think anyone actually vacuumed or cleaned the bathroom floor for the week and […] a half that I was there. "Great location to access Overlook Hospital"
Great business -type hotel just down the hill from a major hospital(Overlook in Summit). If you need accomodations while someone is being treated, it's a good spot. the adjoining Irish pub is a good lunch and dinner option. The free breakfast is serviceable. Easy access to major highways.

It is dumpy, in a terrible area with loud traffic, the clientele was "questionable" at best. I slept with a chair in front of the door!

"LOCKED OUT"
Amazed to learn that you had to go out side to access enclosed pool. Really annoyed when my card failed to open the door to the pool! Had to walk outside and around the exterior of the hotel to regain access to the lobby.

"Hotel yes, Check in staff NO."
The hotel was very nice along with the rooms, however the lady that checked us in was not. I don't think she even uttered hello and it was as if I was a bother to her by checking in. Also I needed to use the business center, which consisted of one computer in the open for everyone to see, and she persisted to complain and use foul language about her […] job and her boss to another employee knowing I was there hearing everything. Very unprofessional. Other than the unprofessional older employee, our stay was worth the price paid. The younger woman was more polite than the first so at least they are not all bad employees. Also the restaurant was nice and included breakfast with our stay for up to 2 adults. Children are free for breakfast anyway. Would stay again with the hopes of not getting that lady. Reseptionist var sur og lite hjelpsom.Det samme gjaldt frokost betjeningen. Frokosten var den dårligste jeg noen gang har hatt på et hotell (jeg er flyver og har hatt ca.90 hotell overnattinger pr.år de siste 35 årene). Dette hotellet burde ikke hatt mer en en stjerne.
