"In town for WGI very convenient for that"
The beds were very comfortable. The bathtub didn't appear to have been cleaned for sometime.
the breckfast bar left a lot to be desired.
Noisy all night. Housekeeping trying to come in at very early hours. Breakfast VERY mediocre.

The hotel is well located near a major mall and two major Freeways for easy access to all parts of Dayton. There were plenty of restaurants of all kinds very close to choose from. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Inn and would definitely stay anytime we return to Dayton.

The hotel was clean and had an especially good breakfast area with alot of options and seating. The staff was very courteous and helpful as we had some additional needs come up. We stayed as a family of six and were comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again - it had a good balance of price and service!

A great option for the price. Family members stayed at a nearby hotel that was pricier with updated linens, decor, etc.--but it was dirty. Much preferred ours!

This was a very nice hotel for the price I paid. The room was clean and the sheets on the bed smelled like bleach so you could tell that they had recently been washed. Bathroom was clean. The curtain hung over the window kept all light out so even in the morning it still looked like night time in our room. The only thing I wished is that the continental […] breakfast could of been better. If advertised a hot breakfast, so I was expecting like waffles or pancakes but there was none. I have stayed in this hotel before (under Hampton ownership and the Dayton Inn). This time I found the rooms & hotel in general to be badly neglected. The faucet in the bathroom sink was loose & I felt like I it was going to separate from the sink when I turned it on. The faucet in the sink and tub dripped constantly. "Old, but Economical"
We stayed here because of the price, but the hotel has seen better days. There is obvious wear and tear. The shower was pathetic. Free breakfast, but not as good as others. Won't stay here again.

We were in town for a family wedding and couldn't have asked for a more convenient and reasonably priced hotel. The staff was very friendly and always on top of things. Good coffee & muffins in the morning! Thank you!

Just stayed for one nite. The hotel was not well marked and I thought I may have made a mistake in booking this hotel. But I was all wrong. The room was wonderful and the hot breakfast with eggs/ gravy & biscuits/juices/cereals was outstanding. For the money, this place is a steal. I am surprised it wasn't busier than it was!

I was afraid to go with a hotel that was 'locally owned'. But it was a VERY nice place, very clean and comfortable. I consider myself a 'hotel snob' and this will definately be on my list of places to stay in that area. Very close to nice mall and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel one night and everything was wonderful, including the breakfast. The bathtub faucet dripped constantly but didn't bother me. There was a bottlecap found under the bed but overall very clean with nice staff! I would definitely stay here again!

"Dayton Inn South - close to everything!"
We were very happy with the hotel. Some other people in our group stayed at a different hotel, paid $25 more a night and didnt have a hot breakfast! We WILL be back!!

I was so pleased with this hotel. I almost stayed at the Dayton Suites in Moraine, but after reading the reviews, I decided not to do that. One of the reviews mentioned this hotel, that was 20 minutes further away, but well worth the drive. The breakfast was amazing. Staff spoke english and they were so friendly. Biggest problem is with the entrance door key, had difficulty opening the door, had to go to the front desk several times to get it renumbered. And the smell in the hallway reeks with cigarette smoke!!!

"The South Dayton Inn"
The hotel over all was pretty good, however, the odor in the hallways have a strong smell of cigarets, the carpet needs to be changed to eliminate this problem.

The only complaint I had was trying to get a crib. The employee did not keep us updated on the situation even after we asked twice about the status. Finally she said it would be around 11pm before she knew something but would be o ff by then? Other than that it was a great experience.

The price is right, the rooms are clean & comfy, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is the best ever. There were omelets, waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, toast & several flavors of coffee. We have stayed here twice and will stay there again.

Stayed for 4 days 3 nights. Staff was great and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was that for some reason our key kept deprogramming. First time the lady at the desk said it could happen if it rubbed up against a cell phone...but it continued to happen. What a great experience! We weren't sure what to expect, but we were very pleasently suprised. I have paid much more for rooms and been disappointed! The room was very clean, the bed was so comfy! When I booked the room for one night, I was a bit hesitant, and I didn't remember seeing it before, though I'm originally from the South Dayton area. They were extremely reasonable in price, and my Greyhound was staying for free, so I kept wondering what the catch was, even dreading checking in. Instead, it had changed from a Hampton Inn recently, […] and though it was older, it was in very good repair, save for one piece of wallpaper loose near the ceiling in my room. It was clean, the hotel staff was pleasant and warm and very willing to help with any request or question. There were plenty of towels, and I enjoyed the breakfast bar with the cheese omlette, waffles, scrambled eggs with cheese and ham, and pancake sticks, as well as the usual carb and hard boiled egg selection. Everyone was very accommodating. I was happy enough to stay there an extra night for something work-related, my dog and I were very comfortable. I know we'll be back there soon!
