We were looking forward to our first family trip every to a hotel, yet alone a resort. Our kids (2,4, and 8) were excited that we picked a "kids" resort in Palm Springs. While the SplashTopia area was amazing and the kids really enjoyed the slide and lazy river that is about where the fun ended for us. Thanks to an extremely loud AC unit (we had a end […] unit which they advised us afterwards is a known problem - uhhh tell us before hand next time) we never slept. Also, the amount of kids there was overwhelming for a resort. We expected kids and lots of them but not well over 300. Finally, the service there is just adequate but that is mainly because they hire young kids who probably don't know any better. I am sad to report but we will not be returning there. Horrible service. Couldnt find a cocktail/servers around pool and if there was one they ignored you and not very friendly. Pool area to small. Pushed in like sardines. Not a very good layout.

We had a great time, wish there was one more restaurant option but otherwise, it was perfect. Definitely spectacular for kids. The resort was very easy to manuever around, I loved the openess of the rooms and the golf course view was perfect for little ones, gave them a chance to be outside and play on the grass.

We loved our 4 days at this hotel, it was beautiful and our 3.5 year old loved the pool and the restaurants. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely perfect place for a weekend getaway. The room was much more spacious than we were expecting which was nice. The view from our room overlooked the golf course and the surrounding mountains. Perfect for sipping coffee on the patio in the morning. The pool was great and the staff were super friendly too. We will most definitely be back!

The phone was dead and no one fixed it after multiple requests. The minibar refrigerator did not work or the safe. The screen to go out on the patio was jammed. I was ready to leave after the 1st night.

Because we live fairly close (San Diego), we visit the Palm Springs area two or three times per year. Rancho las Palmas is now our favorite place to stay! We absolutely LOVED Rancho Las Palmas!!! Our room had a great view of the Golf Course and the flower beds and trees were in full bloom. I think that March is perhaps the best month of the year to visit the area. Everything was very green and there was still snow on the mountain tops. We had a fabulous meal at the Blue Ember Restaurant and the service […] was outstanding. We went to watch the semi-final matches at the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament in Indian Wells. I'm quite happy that we stayed in Rancho Mirage instead of Indian Wells as it wasn't as crowded and we could walk directly across the street to the River Shopping Center to eat or shop. We highly recommend Rancho Las Palmas for the golf, the great spa, the fabulous "Splash-topia" swimmming pools or just to get away for a few days. The resort is beautiful. If you are travelling with children the pools are fabulous. There is no easy or low cost places on site to grab something to eat. To me that was one strike. There are lots of places in driving distance or even walking though. The resort and the surrounding landscape is beautiful and clean. We would leave for the day and expect to come back to our room only to have to leave so they could clean. We also had an ongoing battle with them to leave a bath mat and replace the shampoo and soaps. Numerous times I had to track down housekeeping just to get sugar. The resort is in a perfect location..close to everything. I do find it a bit pricey, they should have put more money in the reno for sound proofing. Rooms are recently updated ours had a funky musty mildew smell. Service at pool/waterpark needs improvement. Only one server for entire pool. Took an hour to get a drink. This resort is well overpriced for what it is. They are attempting to be high end and fall well short. I would not stay there again unless the room rate was under $150.

We picked this resort because of the kid-friendly pool and the location. The staff was very nice and attentive. Our room was large and had plenty of space for everyone. Very clean and due to the large amount of acreage, doesn't feel like you are at a huge resort. Pool was great - large enough and again, didn't feel overcrowded for what was probably a full house. At check in, the attendant was almost brusque with our standard questions (and there was not a long line), and then I was disappointed to see that there was no usual binder of resort information in the hotel room. STAY AWAY. You will be terribly disappointed. A Tourism Organization needs to visit and give it the proper rating and classification. We visited this hotel Feb 2013 (Valentine’s Day Weekend Getaway). The accommodations are quite old with very little renovations. *Shower pressure - VERY LOW. *Bath tub drain - DOES NOT DRAIN. *Bathroom Fixtures - Bring […] something to attempt repairs so they don’t fall on you. *Common walls - So thin you can hear the kids in the rooms next to you crying and yelling. *Ceiling - Ready to hear the upstairs guests’ foot traffic and other late night escapades? *Maid service - They pound on the door at 8am on a Sunday morning, demanding entry. *We asked for a different room, here is the answer we got: "We are at full capacity, sorry"... *The Blu Ember Food: Terrible When selecting appetizers, the tone is set immediately. For example: Ask the waitress what type of oysters they serve, she will say "raw and on the half shell"... The Filet is so dry and tastes like cardboard. The Rib eye is so bad the chef is forced to put a sauce on it. Ask the waitress about it: "I DONT KNOW, I asked them not to do that". With no offer to replace it. Service: Terrible The waitress (Kelly) stops by "Is everything ok?" You open your mouth to answer and she DISAPPEARS. Literally, she vanished. This hotel is great for families. The lazy river and water slides were a lot of fun. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. After paying for the reservation., I was suprised my friend who I booked this room for, was charged additional "resort fee" when they went to check out. They were told check in was at 4 but had to wait 2 hours after that. Checkout is at 12 but the pools do not open until 10. Not a very big window to play, if just staying one night. As a travel agent, I continually seek out places that I can refer to clents. Well, this is one that I hope to send lots of them to. The entire experience from arrival to departure was wonderful. The room we were given was directly adjacent to the main housekeeping storage room. At 8:15 each morning there was loud noise, laughter and banging from the housekeeping crew which woke us up. In addition as we were placed on the first floor which subjected us to an unbelivable amount of noise from the room above. It sounded like there was a basketball […] game going on. We spoke to the the front desk and they had no idea about the housekeeping room and the noise associated with this room which I'm having a hard time thinking that no one ever complained. They said they would move us but after unpacking, the thought of re-packing, moving and unpacking for a couple more day stay wasn't an idea we found appealing. Instead they said they would talk to their housekeeping group and the group above us. Well I can honestly say no one was ever told. The noise never stopped until we actually went to the room above us and started banging on the their door.
